    good but why so expensive?

    brooklyn label is good- no doubt. but why is it overpriced? basically you can get the same meal at relish, greenpoint coffee shop, enids.......etc. for less. and what's up with the brooklyn scramble only being on the weekday menu?? they have great coffee and great hot chocolate- just wish they were open later!!

    Chef Cody Utzman/Press Release To my Loyal customers and fans: On Feb 1st 2008, I resigned my position as Founder/Head Chef/Owner of Brooklyn Label, due to un-reconcilable differences with Financial business partners. Since then I have noticed numerous comments on quality and service throughout blogs and web reviews and want to let my loyal customers, friends and neighbors know that I have left the trust of your favorite neighborhood café in the hands of my ex partners and crew, and I wish them the best and most success possible. As many of you know I was a regular feature behind the counter or in the kitchen making sure all your needs where met and your food was “excellent” every time. I fully intend to complete my mission statement of bringing the most “excellent” products, services, coffee, and neighborhood business improvements to Greenpoint. I am currently working on a really exciting project that should be open summer of 2008. Thank you again for all your support, rave reviews, and friendship in the past year.     So good! Great vegetarian options.

    Amazing food and lovely atmosphere. I've been here for brunch several times and once for dinner - I'm always telling people about this place because I like it so much. The tempeh reuben is decadent! Also, it is BYOB! Bodega across the street! And outdoor seating in the summer is great.

    finally, friendly service in the burg!

    i must say that i am continually impressed by this little gem. from the food to the service--even on seemingly stressful bruch days--i always receive delicious plates of food and genuinely friendly service. thanks guys!

    The owner is cooking again / a big plus

    When the label opened the food rocked,however when the owner decided to stop cooking, the food went south. So Im happy to say hes back in the fire cooking up some nice dinner dishes. Had a boneless center piece of pork over delicious buttery mash with very yummy bokjoy. Also that same night had some lamb shank and Salmon which were also impressive. These were the specials. Its a nice chill place with nice ballduchi pastry's. BYOB

    Great pace for lunch and dinner

    Haven't tried breakfast here yet but lunch and dinner are GREAT. The burgers, salads, fries and hot dogs are really good and well worth the low price. It's BYOB but there's a deli across the street. The mac and cheese is a little weird and small for the price you pay. Overall great place though.

    Good Food, Poor Service

    Since it opened, Brooklyn Label has attracted more and more customers--which is testament to its success as a restaurant. However, a few things really irk me about the place: most waiters treat you with affected tone, ignore you after they've served you and generally communicate as little as possible. Since the place is so popular, Brooklyn Label also tends to run out of items on the menu VERY quickly--especially at brunch... total bummer. Oh yea, and they have random rules too, like not serving any iced cappucinos to go anymore. Why?
