nothing better than a burger and a beer
I had a great blue cheese and baccon kobe burger. That kobe makes all the difference. We liked the steak fries better than the shoe string. Great place to drink beer and eat some burgers.

Go somewhere else.
If the specialty of the house are burgers and fries, then by golly, you gotta do it right. The diminutive burger was lost on the bun. The fries, greasy and tasteless. Not worth the price. Not worth the energy required for chewing either.

Poor service, dirty sticky tables, just ok food.
Went here for a quick early dinner with my 3 year old son. We were hot and tired after walking around the city/Slope all day, and I figured he could have a hotdog and fries, I could have a burger and a beer. Everyone wins, right? Nope. I would have had better, faster service at a diner, and not missed the beer. The hotdog was on a par with a hot dog stand, only 3 times the cost. The tables were dirty and sticky, and even when I got out my baby wipes to clean them, no one improved upon that. Our order was messed up, took forever, and came out cold. What a waste of money! Oh! And they didn't have the beer I wanted available! Plus, the noise from the bus stop directly outside it completely ruined any astmosphere it might have had.

Good Food
I came here on vacation from Sparansburg, Illinois and was very disappointed to see them serving alcohol because i was here with my three perfect children. The burgers were satisfactory but the city environment was too much for a suburban girl.

Mediocre food, lying owner
Stopped in here last weekend after a concert in Prospect Park. The owner/bartender started jawing jokingly with my friend as we walked in, and in the back and forth offered a free round to our group. The waitress came by and asked what we wanted for our free round. 2 of us ordered shakes - chocolate and strawberry. The shakes came, but they were both vanilla with flavor syrups added. Apparently they were out of all ice cream except vanilla, but didn't bother to mention it, because surely people who want a chocolate or strawberry shake would be happy with flavored vanilla. The food came, and it was ok. The burgers are nothing special. Flavorful beef, not large, with a squishy bun. The pesto fries were very good. At the end of our meal the waitress came by with 4 random shots we didn't order. Something mixed into SoCo, and not very good. We didn't drink them. When the bill came the 1st round had been charged to us. We mentioned this and the waitress said "no, the shots were the free round." Huh? Then why did you take our order for a free round when we sat down. Fast forward after 10 minutes of conversation between the owner and the waitress and they took 2 drinks off the bill. The owner lied about the free rounds, and then failed to follow up on it when he was called out. Flipster's burgers aren't worth the hassle. There are better burgers and better service elsewhere on 7th Ave.

Love it...
Great burger joint. Great selection, consistent and fast. Plenty of sides and beers to choose from. Full bar and a lot of specials and promotions to choose from. Great place
