It's really sad that the service here is so poor. The food is good and we are happy to have the option in the neighborhood, but ordering on the phone is impossible. I have tried four times unsuccessfully. They also close really early. They stop taking walk-in orders around 9:30 and give you a look if you order at 9:27. Hopefully things will improve, I really don't want to give up on them. It might take an "under new management" sign to get me back in though.

I have gone a few times to this place although I find the food on average to be mediocre, and prices slightly more than average. However, they are close by in the neighborhood which scores them beacoup points, and there are limited options for Vietnamese food in Williamsburg. Unfortunately service can range from meh to outright rude for telephone orders with a diva-like impatience. On my last order attempt, I asked for a classic beef pho tai and the guy on the phone said he didn't know which soup that was - and that I would need to order specifically in the words used on their menu. When asked if he could just name the (one and only soup on their menu that is a beef pho tai) i was told that they don't have time to answer a question about one menu item because they are and I will quote here - "too busy working". Not knowing or simply not in the mood to say what a pho tai is does not bode well for the place! Since he then hung up the phone, order did not get placed - disappointing to say the least.

I'm glad I have vietnamese food so close by. The food tastes good overall and service is friendly and timely. But everything on the menu is about $1-2 overpriced. And unlike true vietnamese places, certain expected things aren't provided with a menu item, like a heap of bean sprout for the pho. Worst value: spring rolls for $6, only 3 pieces and without any lettuce to wrap. It's delicious but they need to make their prices more Brooklyn appropriate.

I love this place. They are fast and the price is right. Ae they as good as that place on Broome st in the city? I don't care. I eat a lot of sandwiches, and if thats what you want, you'll be happy. I usually get the lemongrass chicken.

Whatever you do, do not, I repeat, do not order the pho from here. I love pho and will accept mediocre pho to satiate a craving, but I got sick the first time and still decided to try it again. This time, the meat arrived completely, neonly raw with the soup nowhere near hot enough to cook it, meat juice running all down the noodles. So I cooked it on my stove. This is not why I order takeout. Also, it's nowhere near delicious enough to warrant any extra effort. Por...que! On the bright side, I do dig the sandwiches here. Go for the classic! Also, these guys deliver super fast. Just. Don't. Order. The. Pho.

If you're looking for good Vietnamese, stay far away from this place. I am not Vietnamese but I am a self-proclaimed connoiseur (having lived above the best Banh Mi spot in NYC for 10 years on Broome). This place is disappointing. I ordered the classic Banh Mi and the pate was unappetizing. The pho was super salty and totally sub-par (real pho simmers for days - this was basically chicken broth). Anyone who rates this place highly has NOT had real Vietnamese street food (New York style). Sorry to be so critical but I was so excited to have a "Vietnamese" restaurant in the 'hood.

I'm not going to lie.. i order take out here 2-3 times a week. I'm almost embarrassed they know my face especially when I go two nights in a row. On the menu... I love the curry chicken as it comes with two yummy size drumsticks and the curry is flavorful. Then they give you a giant piece of bread to sop up the curry sauce. To die for. I am also in love with their ginger chicken although it can be greasy/oily, it's my once a week guilty indulgence. Their pho noodles are good especially on cold, rainy days or if you are sick. The sandwiches are packed with a punch. Good food and good service.
