Great Breakfast all day
Best value for breakfast in NYC. A local place to go where you get honest food at honest prices. This Englishman in NY (30 years) loves it.

Loved the Broadway Diner and its friendly Staff!
We had passed by this place several times, and unfortunately judged a book by its cover - albeit wrongly! I can only speak for the breakfasts as I didn’t have a chance to sample anything other, but they were exactly to my liking. Im a self confessed fussy 'so and so', so the Staff looked at me quite oddly when I ordered what I did for breakfast.... but they obliged with a smile :-) The atmosphere in the Broadway Diner is authentic, and the service is great. Every single person we encountered that works there is friendly. One waitress in particular talked to us and told us background info on the Diner, which was of real interest to me being a huge Pitt and Clooney fan. It seemingly was filled with locals of all ages and backgrounds, and it was a really interesting place to sit and enjoy the food, coffee and people watch. If the locals like it then it must be good. The prices were so reasonable, especially considering the amount and quality of delicious food we got. It’s an authentic place, it may not have the interior or facade of some of the glitzy diners, but it has real food, real People and real character. From my experiences in NY its can’t be beat on any of those!

beyond awful food
we are professionals and have been living in the hood for 8 years now. We order in and eat out about 3-4 days a week. we just ordered from that place and it was a bomb across the aboard. NONE of the ingredients was fresh or homemade (other than the salad), and it was all industrial-tasting and bland. mash potatoes -- made of powder. beef raviolis -- processed canned/frozen (including the sauce) and inferior to chef Boyardee's. pork chops -- dried to perfection (turned it into cold-cuts), and served with mass-produced gravy. malted-shake -- liquid sugar with hardly any ice cream and tons of syrup. and to think we just shed $35 for that disappointing meal.

Great breakfast!
Awesome breakfast, excellent service, and inexpensive. I indulge in the omelet with pastrami, mushrooms, onions, and cheese. Girlfriend had the banana pancakes. Both were excellent. Service was friendly and very attentive.

Great food, service and atmosphere!!!
Broadway Restaurant is truly one of the few remaining restaurants in NYC that offer great food, service and a unique atmosphere!! Breakfast was quick and great, lunch is always tasty and the prices are always fair!! In addition, the staff is warm and make your dining experience worthwhile. I just recently started going in for dinner and was amazed at what great dishes they prepare. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who lives on the West side!! Two thumbs up!! Way up!!

yummy burgers
We live on the upper west side and we love this joint for a burger with the kids. We have no need to go to the diner down the street and pay $35 for four burgers and two sides of fries. It is what it is there. I feel like no one should complain about anything when they go there, if you don't like it, don't go. Touch Wood, we've never had a bad burger from this joint.
