    Why Go??

off the beaten path and looked different. Went in with my girlfreind for a drink. Totally unimpressed! Williamsburg has so many better choices. Wine selection not great! Food selection worse!

    Williamsburg loves Bridge

Bridge has undergone some lovely changes since opening last year, so I'm so happy I came back and gave this place another shot! There are cozy booths, tables to seat larger groups...and some new yummy snacks. I think you need to understand the concept of this place, though. It's a wine bar that offers "tastes" of NY wines...so you'll receive a generous pour that allows you to taste, and more importantly, enjoy the wine. The short menu presents surprisingly scrumptious little bites and paninis. I went there with a girlfriend (who's in the restaurant biz herself) a few nights ago, and were delighted with our food. We ordered the vegetable panini, roasted potato wedges, goat cheese crostini, and forcemeat. Everything we delicious, affordable...and perfect little accompaniments to our wine! The service was gracious and laid-back. While this is not a place to have a sit-down dinner, this is the perfect place in our neighborood to relax, sit back with a little NY wine, and enjoy some delicious small plates!

If you eat here, your clothes will stink

I get the impression that this place really shouldn't be cooking food. They have no vents, and no kitchen! When I went there, they cooked the food on hotplates, and my clothes smelled for days. It was weird. The food was surprisingly good considering, but they really have no kitchen at all. I would go back here, but if they started to cook - I would leave. One thing they cooked (fish) did not smell good at all. They DO seem to know about wine thankfully, so it would be an enjoyable place to stop by for a glass.
