Off day or simply disappointing?
could not believe the food, service and prices for dinner on a week night. okra= under cooked - had to send it back to cook again. lamb vindaloo = one piece of potato, literally. when asked for the manager, no one showed up and 10 mins later we were told there's no manager today. overall, poor tasting food and service. i will however, go for the cheap weekend buffet.

Buffet Is pretty good
First off this wasn't my initial choice restaurant to go for Indian food. However the place I went was closed not the mention the $9.99 lunch buffet seemed pretty convincing on a budget. Although many of the comments suggest the ordered food wasnt as good as they expected, I can only comment on the BUFFET. I was Pleasantly surprised I must say. There was both vegetarian and meat options (mostly chicken) with rice samosa's, 2 types of tandoor along with side salads and indian desert. The Chicken Tikka Masala was YUMMMY. Because I know the buffet is created for a more broader palette, i excused them for not having the level of spicyness I would prefer. However it was dam good. Not greasy, not salty or sweet like most masala's. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very nice and the waiters don't hover around u like most. It is located in a college environment so its pretty laid back and chill, with great food. So as I said the buffet was pretty good and i will be back again. However dinner I cannot say...

Never Going Back!!
First, when we entered there was hardly anyone sitting down yet the cocky waiter asked if we had a reservation and pretended that they were full Then, when we asked for how many naans would be sufficient for 4 people the waiter wouldnt give a straight answer The Vindaloo was disappointing. Spicy for the sake of being spicy. It was more spicy than the chilly in the vindaloo, and had less taste than the chilly in the vindaloo. No taste, just water and chilly powder And finally, to top it all off there was an automatic 18% gratuity without any warning. No wonder the waiter was so rude. Absolutely ridiculous. Never going back to this place - stay far away!

avoid, pure & simple
BLC is a hustle, as I realized the one time I visited. The server was nice enough, but he seemed to know, after we'd waited 40 mins. for the entrees, that they were not even likely to appear soon. Indeed they didn't, for at least another 20 min. I asked for a Vindaloo that was desi hot, meaning as one would prepare it for one of Indian descent. I explained I'd lived in London and ate curry almost every day ( since British food...well, the less said the better). Anyway, when it finally arrived it had a teeny bit of kick, but was not an authentic vindaloo. I also could NOT get a cold beer. NONE in the cooler were cold enough to show that frigid film when brought out. With curry one wants very cold beer. After all of the unsatisfactory food, we got a bill that was on a par with a good French restaurant. I was horrified and have never been back. They will give you lip service about making a really spicy curry, but you will not get it. I guess they're afraid of people sending dishes back, when they're too hot. Curry should not be $60 per person with a starter and a couple of beers. Way over-priced.

Amazing, high quality Indian Food
This place is amazing - yes they are more expensive than the other restaurants (except during brunch) but they hold their food to a much a higher standard. Their samosas are huge and not greasy, their entrees do not have films of oil on the top, their naan is crispy and not oily and even their sauces for samosas are thicker and not watered down - I highly recommend for take out as they package everything nicely in sturdy containers. They also have a great atmosphere but I was there once on a Saturday night and got rushed out.

You Get What You Pay For
OK. Call me a snob, but you do GET what you PAY for in this world, especially when it comes to food most of the time. The places on 6th street are sub par. Thought we would give this place a try. Mediocre at best. The shrimp are extremely small (SHRIMP!!) Chicken is not that good either. We wont be back, however the staff was very pleasant.
