    Love this place!

Bread is a hip, cute little place for dinner, lunch or whatever. I have been here on many occasions and the food has never disappointed. The mezzemiache (sp?) is sooo good, tatses just like my grandma's sauce. Salads are awesome as well as the sandwiches and their bruschetta is fresh and awesome! The service is also wonderful, always so nice and accomodating. On three separate occasions we have been given dessert for free by the very friendly owner. I recommend bread to everyone for a good, cheap meal!

Tomato Cheese and Goat Cheese- Yeh Baby

I love getting the lunch special with the tomato soup and the half goat cheese sandwich. Who cares if the place is small, when your mouth is so happy?

    Mediocrity dressed up

The food was just mediocre, and it was kinda pricey. The atmosphere is very trendy and you are paying for that in the food's price. All things considered, I think you can find much better in the area.

    Spoilt for choice!

If you are visiting Little Italy, this place is a definite must for lunch. It has the best menu- it took me over 20 minutes to decide what to eat because the choice was so great! In the end I asked the waitress to give me some tips, and she was more than helpful, and didn't hurry me at all- even though the place was filling up. Atmosphere was great, and its the fact it was busy proved just how good the food was! I ordered a homemade pasta dish with pesto and asparagus, and for a cold March day, it really hit the spot. I finished it off with a delicious cheescake, and coffee in a jar shaped mug! I only wished I lived nearer to Bread so I could visit it more often!

    Tomato soup from Heaven

This place is fantastic! The pasta salad and tomato soup are amazing. The only menu item I've tried there that wasn't so great was the shrimp salad with lemon dressing, it had a very odd flavor to it. It can be difficult to get a table, especially in the summer, but the soup is so great, it's worth it. The tables are very close together, so be prepared not to have a very private conversation.

    Good food!

We met with some friends there and all enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and great sandwiches. The only issue we had was that we arrived about 20 minutes before our friends and so they would not seat us until we were all there - at that time there were lots of tables, bbut by the time our friends arrived we had to wait for a table and there is not a lot of room to wait - we felt very in the way.

    Will try elsewhere!

Selected this place based on reviews from this site. We were truly disapointed. The place was busy but not full, yet it took forever to get a menu, get served, get some napkins, get the bill..... The place is cute, but tiny, waiters were always banging into our chairs. The sandwiches were okay, way more bread than filling and the flavours were subdued to the point of blandness. They forgot to dress our salads and we couldn't flag down anyone to fix the problem. If you are there and hungry, try it, but I am sure I can do better next time.
