    breadache!!

I left something behind and called. They hung up. When i went there they told me they never saw my item and my waitress acted like she never seen me in her life. I walked over to the table i was sitting at and retrieved my item, sitting there in plain site. When I held it up they all made obnoxious faces at me. i dont even remember the food!!

Bread, So Chic, So Simple, So Cheap

Love this place. Love it. Great looking crowd, great looking menu, even better prices. Check it out, a NoLiTa landmark in one of the city's coolest shopping and art nabes.

    Good food, poor service

The food was better than I expected although I only tried the arugula salad and the tomato soup. The interior feels like a bathroom, cramped and damp. My chair kept sliding around on their painted concrete floor. The waitresses were aloof and abnoxious, not welcoming at all. They gave dirty looks at the end of their smiles. Why don't restaurant owners realize that service is MOST of the restuarant experience!?

Cranky and Rude - Get Over Yourself!

I've been into Bread a few times and the food has been pretty good - I LOVE their shrimp salad - even if the waitstaff is much like Coffee Shop's (pretty, rude and hungry looking). Unfortunately I will not be going back or calling for a delivery. The woman who answers the phone is ALWAYS cranky and rude.

Mellow Vibe, Great Food, Chill Out Spot

Bread is a great venue to hit after a day shopping, gallery or museum wandering on the Bowery or in SoHo. Visit and take a load off by treating yourself to great music and a beautiful crowd, service that's in no rush but food well worth the wait at bargain value in these recessionary culinary times in The Big Kitty. Hard to find a bargain elsewhere, but you'll find it at Bread.

    Rude service!

Apparently, if you're an out of work model, that means that you can as rude as you like to your customers. The food is great, but it comes with a great big side of attitude.
