    Everything I look for

I'm always happy with the quality of food and the Perfection to which it is prepared. The proficient person Answering phones for delivery and the quick delivery doesn't hurt either. 5 yums from me!

    Love this place

I have to say that I love this place. I live in the neighborhood and eat here all the time. There was a dip in service and food for a few months but now it is back and really, really tasting great. Fresh, interesting food without fanfare. A really cool neighborhood restaurant to feel relaxed in. My girlfriend eats the healthy menu, she raves. I like the meatballs and meat specials. We balance each other out.

    Shocking Service

It's a shame that the food is decent and the atmosphere tolerable, because the service is awful. Really AWFUL. And it's not just that the wait staff is incompetent (they are), but they are downright rude on top of it. It's like they're doing you a favor by taking your order and bringing you the food you're paying for.... My boyfriend and I went for brunch this morning. When we finally got a chance to get our order in, it consisted of a bowl of soup, omelet, panino and side of brussel sprouts. When everything but the soup arrived, we kindly pointed out that the soup was missing.... Response from the food runner, as she haughtily turned on her heels, bug-eyed and annoyed? "I'm bringing it now." Wow, thanks.... And this isn't the first time service has been subpar. What a shame.

    Slow and steady deline

At one point this was a delectable find, a true treat with painstakingly selected provisions and a chef with a nuanced, special touch. But over the years, have seen a slow and steady decline--although the menu hasn't really changed, the food just doesn't taste the same; this is partially the ingredients (not as fresh) and limited skill set of the cooking staff. The only remnants of times gone by are the courteous waiters, can not say the same about the indifferent manager. In the end, with all this resigned, languishing inertia one has to ask: how long can this go on before... the place shuts down?

    Hit and miss

First, I have to ask...with a name like Bread, why does it always take so long to get any? Every time I eat here, I have to ask 2-3 times to get bread. The food is generally good. Not excellent, not memorable. Sufficient, and a decent value. The service is about the same. They seem to care less whether or not you're there. Not rude, just inattentive and thoughtless. I have to say the most disappointing aspect to Bread is that I'm always left scratching my head, wondering why it isn't what it could be?

    unhappy customer

i have been coming to bread for years and have watched as the food and the service went downhill. This weekend I went to have brunch for lack of a better option and the state of the restaurant was unbelievable. We walked in and it took at least 5 minutes for someone to come over to us and say "we have nothing for you". We then talked to the manager who said it would be 5 minutes and we could wait at the bar. The bar was a mess - there was food left from people who had eaten before and the bartender did not clear it for 20 minutes, nor did she talk to us - people were trying to pay for their meals and leave but no waitress would come over to take the check, instead the manager was eating in front of customers! Finally we waited 25 minutes and another party was seated in front of us. Another rude reply from the manager and we left. I will never go back. It was entirely unprofessional and unwelcoming.
