Cheesecake
One of the best in the city

Fine for a quick bite
We were wandering around after a show and stopped in here. Shared a panini and bread pudding. Both were decent - not the best we've ever had but certainly not the worst. Service was very friendly and prompt. And the cafe was very clean with a welcoming feel. We (husband and me) agree that we would return.

Not so good
Stopped in here on my way to Penn Station. I was looking for something quick and not too expensive and I saw the pizza through the window. Big mistake. The pizza here reminded me of what we got at the on-campus dining room on pizza night all those many years ago. So greasy it dripped, and bland. 10 bucks for 2 pepperoni slices and a carton of juice.

stale and bland
the pastries here are not nearly as good as they look behind the case.

Not worth the experience and food.
I live two blocks from here and went by couple times to get some breakfast for friends. Last time I went, they forgot my order and when I reminded the counter person, she yelled something in a foreign language and grill person threw stuff on the grill. I told them to forget it. The counter woman looked at me as if I was crazy and pointed at the grill saying mine was getting made. Uhm hello I'm not totally clueless. Seriously they charge ridiculous price for everything and it'd not worth it.

The best saled on the block, hands down
I live a block away, and have tried the salads at all the delis in the vicinity. Pros:The price. The croutons are absolutely delicious! They don't give you those crappy ones with the green flecks that they serve at all the cheap salad bars. They make them there. They're also generous with toppings, unlike most places, even with chicken (which isn't dry or bland like some others). What's more, they're open 24 hours! My roommates get those fruit tart things and I've gotten the brownie, and they're both really good, too (except once). The guys that work there are so friendly, I love them. Cons: The cookies are really bland. The quiche is unremarkable. Since it's 24 hrs, the later you go, the more likely things have been sitting around for a while. I've never had a bad salad, though. The atmosphere is alright for what the place is, but I always get it to go.
