Quick Cheap and Tastey
A great place for delivery, and breakfast anytime, love their western omlette. Yum. And not expensive at all!

No More REAL Bagels
Until recently I would go out of my way to get the real bagels from The Bread Factory. Unfortunately, according to my inside source AND my tastebuds - they are now outsourced and are, like many other pretenders - just bagle-shaped baked bread. The flavours are spot on, but the texture - that specual chewiness bagel-lovers crave is nonexistent. They now really live up to the name because the stuff tastes like it was made in a factory. However, as far as Lexington Ave./east 60's this is one of the better places for a variety of food items.

big jeff from baltimore
My family and I were starving and stopped at this place for lunch. I had the salami sandwich (excellent) and the girls had the burgers (real good) and the dessert was even better (Strawberry Cheese Cake, Oriole Cake, and Bread Pudding Cake was great! The cookies were not so good!!) The cook was real friendly (little English) but the person at the cash register was cold and not very friendly. The only negative part of the place was the seating extremely uncomfortable and everybody on top of you. When the door opened up it was very cold. I would go again and buy the food and eat outside on a nice day but don't eat inside the place not a nice experience.

Loved the convenience
I live about 3 blocks south of this place and love the ability to be able to order online, not have to deal with anyone, pay by credit card (including the tip)...this is all fabulous when you're hungover and not in the mood for going out to brunch. Always delivered fast, food always warm - omelettes are great (so much food with the potatoes too). Pancackes are good too, but skip the juice as this is often just tropicana overpriced.

stale carrot cake
i might have just been there on an off night, but the two desserts we ordered were mediocre. the carrot cake was stale, including the frosting. we also had a cannoli and the filling was a really strange texture...almost like putty!

Pizza to die for!
Our family loves Bread Factory's pizza. Isn't it ironic how the best pizza in the neighborhood does not come from a pizzeria. Make no mistake - the best Pizza in the neighborhood comes from Bread Factory Cafe! Turnopi loves it!

Unpleasant delivery experience
I have gone to the Bread Factory at this location since it opened and always loved the food. Although the service has been sub-par at times, I always cut them some slack because of the food -- but not after my most recent (and possibly last) experience with the Bread Factory. I placed a simple breakfast order online, and after waiting over an hour for the delivery (and not receiving it), I called. The person I spoke to sounded surprised and suggested they couldn't possibly have received my order. He asked for my order number & I gave it to him. He then came back and said, that they DID have the order, but that they had somehow overlooked it because the order was "on the fax machine" (whatever that means). In any event, he apologized and said that they'd send it right over. I figured, "Hey, sometimes these things happen - maybe I should have called sooner." Well, after another half-hour, it STILL hadn't arrived, so I called again. The person I spoke to apologized and told me they were short-handed on delivery people, but that the delivery person was "on his way" and would arrive "soon." This might be a good time to note that I live approximately ONE BLOCK AWAY from the Bread Factory. In any event, after waiting another 20 minutes, I finally gave up, went out & got breakfast myself (not from the Bread Factory) and told my doorman to turn the delivery person away if he showed up while I was out. Well, guess what? The delivery person NEVER CAME. And I received neither an email nor a voicemail with an explanation or an apology. Maybe it serves me right for being too lazy to walk a block, but this was such a bad experience that I don't plan on going back anytime soon.
