Oh, my gosh!! Found this place by accident on my first trip to New York. Everything is made in-house from scratch. Muffins, cookies, pastries, croissants, sandwich bread, whole loaves, pretzels, bagels, pizza, soups, paninis, pasta, flatbread, cheesecake, cakes, etc. They have the most amazing breakfast sandwiches and omelettes! The make it all on the grill as you watch. Real made-to-order juices and fruit smoothies.

Live in the neighborhood, very decent, good food at very decent prices, plus the ONLY 24 hr place in the neighborhood that WILL deliver at 2:30 AM if you have a craving for pancakes like I just did! The phone answerer was extremely nice, polite and happy to deliver to me at that hour! This is a sign of a place with excellent service that cares about it's hungry patrons! Excellent pancakes and bacon too, even remembered the butter and syrup! Will order from them time and again, thanks!

I had really good memories of the bread factory from my first trip to NYC. I am both lactose intolerant and vegetarian, so I do not eat cheese. I ordered an amazing veggie wrap w/o cheese. When I visited NYC again, I went here during their busy Saturday lunch hour, with my boyfriend. He ordered straight off the menu, but when I tried to order my veggie wrap w/o cheese, I was told it was not possible to make. I asked why, and did not receive a satisfactory answer as to why leaving on ingrediant off a wrap woild make it "impossible to make." I didn't end up eating lunch here that day! It was a disappointing experiance.

A great place for delivery, and breakfast anytime, love their western omlette. Yum. And not expensive at all!

Until recently I would go out of my way to get the real bagels from The Bread Factory. Unfortunately, according to my inside source AND my tastebuds - they are now outsourced and are, like many other pretenders - just bagle-shaped baked bread. The flavours are spot on, but the texture - that specual chewiness bagel-lovers crave is nonexistent. They now really live up to the name because the stuff tastes like it was made in a factory. However, as far as Lexington Ave./east 60's this is one of the better places for a variety of food items.

My family and I were starving and stopped at this place for lunch. I had the salami sandwich (excellent) and the girls had the burgers (real good) and the dessert was even better (Strawberry Cheese Cake, Oriole Cake, and Bread Pudding Cake was great! The cookies were not so good!!) The cook was real friendly (little English) but the person at the cash register was cold and not very friendly. The only negative part of the place was the seating extremely uncomfortable and everybody on top of you. When the door opened up it was very cold. I would go again and buy the food and eat outside on a nice day but don't eat inside the place not a nice experience.

I live about 3 blocks south of this place and love the ability to be able to order online, not have to deal with anyone, pay by credit card (including the tip)...this is all fabulous when you're hungover and not in the mood for going out to brunch. Always delivered fast, food always warm - omelettes are great (so much food with the potatoes too). Pancackes are good too, but skip the juice as this is often just tropicana overpriced.
