Bread Brothers

It really is hit or miss with this place. They do have good bagels and can make a great sandwich. I do find that they change prices a lot. The service here is very unprofessional and really not friendly at all. Depending on the time of day/ or maybe its some bagels that tend be harder and to me not as fresh or soft as the day goes by. Delivery can be dreadful if your really hungry. We have waited about an hour or so to have breakfast delivered to us and we are only a couple of blocks away. At least the delivery guy is friendly. Oh I almost forget they do screw up orders a lot. But they do make a good bagel and we keep ordering from them. Plus they deliver and expect credit cards . They better be careful because if Jessie's starts to deliver and start taking cards they may be in trouble.

There is nothing in my neigborhood to eat. I have been going to Bread Brothers for a few months now and their service has been up and down but it seems that they are finally getting it together I hope they can keep it up. I LOOOve the everything bagel with cucumber dill cream cheese. It is also a great value.

I was quite happy to hear that a new bagel place was opening a few months ago. The neighborhood can always use another clean, new spot and Bread Brothers seemed promising. The first time I went to Bread Brothers, the serve was so poor. Customers were walking out after ordering several times and orders either not being made or if they were made, made incorrectly. It was a zoo. I wrote this off as "first day growing pains"... Even the finest restaurant is a zoo on opening day / week... Next Bread Brothers experience: I ordered a bagel with cream cheese... 3 times before someone made it. I was one of two customers in the store. I had a few mediocre experiences and then this one topped it off. I ordered a toasted bagel with vegetable cream cheese. After a very long wait (again, no one else in the store) the guy who made it handed it off to the cashier and said "toasted bagel with cream cheese".. I asked if it was "vegetable cream cheese".. He gave me the "are you kidding me" stare. He asked if I wanted it redone which I said "yes, if its not too much trouble" I then watched as he opened the foil, scraped the cream cheese back into the tub of cream cheese and reapplied vegetable cream cheese. Now my idea of redone is "get a new bagel, toast it and put the right stuff on it"... Not sure if this is a health code thing or what but certainly unappetizing and gross.. other customers took notice and were laughing. Do yourself a favor. Either walk farther or head across the street.

This place has the biggest and best bagels in Brooklyn. The staff is very friendly and quickly remembers your order if you're a regular customer. Highly recommended!
