Very Satisfied!
I had dinner there last night. We were a group of 7. The food was excellent! I liked the ambiance and I liked the drinks. The service was just a little slow, but I did take into account that we were a fairly large party and the restaurant was full. I found the staff to be very attentive and friendly. I even saw one of my favorite celebrities dining there. It was a great night!

Great restaurant
THe shrimp in cocoanut was amazing. Service great. Mango sorbet with white chocolate coating was also great. Walked right in on Friday night after theatre and had excellent service.

Nice waitress - food overpriced and not high quality
I went to the restaurant because they had a deal through Travelzoo. Two Apps, dinners, dessert and bottle of wine for $69. First let me say the waitress was very nice, the music coming from the bar was very good, and the portions were nicely sized. Unfortunately, the food was not great. The calamari was rubbery and the entree I ordered (Moqueca de Peixe) smelled like old fish - I could not eat it at all. They took it away and came back 20 minutes later and I asked if I wanted something else - but by that time I wasn't hungry anymore. Travelzoo claimed the dinner was worth $154 and you were to tip on that price. There were no prices on the special "Travelzoo Menu" - so it was difficult to imagine that what we ordered was $154. When I mentioned to one waitress that I wondered if it added up she got uneasy and said "yes it is about the same" ? so I got home and found the menu online (hindsight should have done it there). Our appetizers were $15 each - dinners were $25 each and desserts were $7 and $6. Their wine menu says bottles of wine are $25. This does not add up to $154! I am not sure if I am more disappointed in Travelzoo or the restaurant.

To Expensive for very little & not great Brazilian food
The prices are way to high for the amount of food given on plates. I don't eat a lot and I thought the portions were very small even if they charged half the price. My fiancé and his child are Brazilian and we have eaten at a lot of Brazilian places and cook at home. The taste of the food was plain and nothing great at all. The only thing good was the kindness of all the employees.

Bye Bye Brasil
I found very little on this menu that was remotely Brasilian. And when the food arrived, it didn't even equate with the menu. To top it all off, the prices are outrageous. The only saving graces were the service (pleasant, not effusive) and the singer in the bar (not even in the dining room). Highly disappointing.

sadly basic & plain
Had family from out of town visitng- wanted to treat to NYC "international" tastes. This was sadly bland, plain, blah food....costly for empty plates . (ie: 2 rolls for 3 people...c'mon!) Low quality foods. Staff was pleasant, but they had nothing to work with. I would never return!

8 dollars for 2 Tbsp of passion fruit
I can understand paying $25 for a skirt steak dish, but when I ordered the passion fruit mousse and it came in a little glass containing literally 2 table spoons, I was very impressed. They're robbing us without even feeling guilty! Guess I'll stick to Brazil Grill or Via Brasil! :(
