    great food all around

this place is hard to judge from outside..but once you make the decision to go in and sit down, you will be happy you did. i had a very delicious grilled chicken dish, passionfruit mousse, and the brazilain house salad..all of which tasted great. the atmosphere is warm and comfortable and smells fabulous from all the grilled cuisine. it is a bit pricey for a glass of wine ($9.) for house wine... but the prices for food are comparable with other places in the area.

    Great time at Brazil Brazil

Brazil Brazil was wonderful. I went to this restaurant which is in the theatre district on West 46th St. with friends. We had such a great time. The brazilian music was beautiful and the food delicious! I had the "bobo no camarao" which is a freshly sliced coconut loaded with large shrimp in a creamy sauce and rice and beans on the side. Yum! Can't wait to go back for the Brazilian Independence Day in September which I understand is a big celebration event.

    Oh, my God!

I am a New Yorker and went to Brazil twice. The country is wonderful and friendly. Brazil Brazil restaurant, however, has nothing to do with the Brazilian people, the Brazilian atmosphere, and the Brazilian friendly way to treat other people. On top of it the food is terrible. A real piece of garbage in Manhattan. Do not waste your time and money.

    Are you kidding me?

Ok, maybe this place USED to be good. I was beyond disappointed. Food was bland and expensive. The "garden" in the back was musty and tired. The service was terrible. The staff was standing on the steps blocking our way every time we needed to use them. Didn't seem to care that we were there. I consider myself a foodie. If this is what all Brazilian food is like, I'm NOT not not a fan. Maybe I'm just NOT a fan of Brazil Brazil. My seafood dish had lots of shellfish and fish but was pretty tasteless. My friend's beef was nothing great. Thin, overcooked and not very tasty either. Rice pudding--mediocre.

    Great atmostphere

Took my boyfriend who happens to be Brazilian here for his bday. Made reservations just in case but they weren't totally necessary. We arrived at about 6 o'clock to a nearly empty restaurant. The decor was beautiful and gave a very cozy atmosphere. The artwork and the ambient lighting makes you feel as if you have stepped out of busy Manhattan and into a little slice of Brazil. We ordered an appetizer, a salad, two steaks and a side, totaling about 85 bucks. Food was amazing, they really know what they're doing. The waiters were very on point, very considerate and very welcoming. Really not a single negative comment and I would have no hesitation recommending this to a friend.

a great find in the theater district!!

My girlfriend and I walked in early around 5ish and were greeted by several eager staff who were all smiles and ready to start the dinner rush. Our waiter was very friendly and sweet throughout our whole experience and our glasses were never empty. We both ordered from the pre-fixe menu and also ordered a pitcher of red sangria. The food was delicious, the sangria was magnificent and the staff were perfect. The three course steak dinners which were cooked to perfection and served with rice and black beans cost under 50 dollars, the sangria gave us each about 3 and a half full glasses of wine for 29.99 the dinner totaled under $100.00 and everything was excellent. We will definitely be coming back next time we see a show!
