We were greeted with a smile by the staff and sat a nice table by the window (great people watching seat). My husband and I came to Brasserie Athenee for lunch before a 2pm show. I had the lamb cubes which was very delightful and was cooked to perfection. My husband had the muscles and fries which was also tasty. The portions are rather generous for the price which was great. The service, too, was great. Our server was very nice and very entertaining. I will definitely be returning.

Bad service Phony "Greek - French" mix Pretentious and to be avoided. One positive" when beef tasted bad, item properly replaced. But that is no reason to go. These efforts at cosmopolitan menus are best avoided.

Rest. is very nice. Hostess and waitress were friendly. Seated immediately at window table. Fr calamair was good so we were all excited about the dinner. I don't like when they serve wine in a stemless glass, but the wine was tasty. Steak/fries that my husband had was mediocre. I had sweetbreads, which would have been a treat for me since most rest. dont make them. They too were so so. Bill was $72 for mediocre food. Will not return to this rest. There are many others in NYC that are much better for similar cost

I saw the reviews that were posted by the other two members and I wasn't sure about going... I went though with 3 of my friends. I have a completely different perspective about it! We all had different dishes and one of them were the mussels (because of the other review). The menu didn't state if it was red or white sauce so I asked. It was red and actually very delicious!! The others had the pasta, the burger and the salmon;all of which were wonderful. I did though have to try a couple of differnt types of red wine to finally get the one I liked (merlot). P.S. The fries are outstanding!! I will Definitely come back. I will recommend it to others. Good food at a "cheaper" price is not easily found downtown

My companion and I had the escargots to start, the pasta and mussels for the mains. The escargots were flavorful but taken out of their shell, the pasta was very bland, and the mussels were in a tomato and onion like sauce, different than the white wine and garlic parsley stated on their menu. The sauce for the mussels was not good. I was disappointed by this place. I will not be returning.

I came to Brasserie Athenee looking for the greek restaurant that was there before it. Wonderful find!! We had an 8 pm curtain and were seated at 6 leaving us with plenty of time for everthing! The staff was great with every single person even though the place was PACKED!!! the bar looked fantastic!! the music was easily heard yet not blasting tastefull french music. I had the burger and my husband the salmon. Both were made to perfect taste!! the burger was HUGE and cooked to perfection. My husband loved the fish!!! not many can cook well through and keep the taste of the fish at the same time!! Creme brulee and capuccino topped our night! We will definitely come back really soon!
