What a disappointment...
Went there yesterday for lunch--Restaurant Week. Had Heirloom Tomatoes for appetizer, Lobster Salad for entree, Orange Something-or-Other for dessert. The "chef" certainly has no idea what goes with what or how to prepare anything. His/her idea of good food is to throw in a load of sugar, make everything an aspic consistency and serve tiny portions. Also, the service was sub-par. I had to ask (beg) many times for a coffee refill. No-one ever came by to ask if we needed anything during our meal. I will say, however, that all the people working there are EXTREMELY nice.

what happened?
this used to me my favorite restaurant. i would take my clients here, friends and family. the food used to be amazing! but the last 2 times i went there i was not happy at all. they also got rid of my fav appetizer..i think it was called the crab blossom. sooo good. but now it's gone. i wont go back anymore. maybe the chef changed?

Outstanding Sunday Brunch
The Sunday Brunch here is similar to Rainbow Room and Water Grill with carving stations and a huge selection to choose from, but with a much better price tag of only $30. Seven of my girlfriends and I went for a Sunday Brunch Clb Brunch and after several bad experiences at other places (b/c we are a large group of young "looking" women), we were so impressed at the star treatment we got at 8 1/2. We began at 11:30 and were sitting at our table till about 4:30. It was such a nice atmosphere and I will highly recommend Sunday Brunch here to others.

Perhaps we hit a bad night?
Chritstmas night is probably not a fair tine to judge. BUT, service was haphazard, my frisee salad came minus dressing, wine orders were mixed up and my pheasant entree had been coated in salt. The second one served (although I wasn't asked if I'd like something else, our waitress simply removed the dish, apologized and returned later with a duplicate). The pheasant also cries out for a fruity accompaniement that it doesn't receive. It's not like this fairly lousy experience comes cheap, either. Would I give it another try? Maybe but not with high expectations.

Exceptional
This far exceeded my expectations. The food was outstanding, the service was outstanding....all around great experience. Our waiter was fabulous. Patient, thorough, funny, honest....he rocks! We ended up staying for about 5 hours because we were having such a good time. I will definitely be back.

Prix Fixe Menu
I had eaten here several years ago for lunch. Based on my past experience I wanted to return. My friend and I each had a selection from the prix fixe menu and I certainly didn't recall the portions to be so tiny. Neither of us are big eaters, but we ended up sharing an extra appetizer because we were still hungry. I really do like this restaurant as the food is very good, but, after looking around at other people's ample portions, we realized that ordering from the prix fixe was not a good idea. So stick to the regular menu and you'll be very happy

Loved it!
My girlfriend and I stopped by after a dinner function at the Ritz Carlton for dessert. We had the mini cupcakes and eclairs and also the three cheese selection, which was delicious! The atmosphere was very elegant, the cheeses phenomenal, with figs, honeysuckle, berries, and toast points. The cupcakes were moist and not too sweet. We plan to go back. Moderately priced as well. Their tea is fabulous as well!
