Sub par
Slow and unprofessional service and overpriced food. What a duet.

Not the greatest dining experience of our lives
On entering the bustling brasserie my wife and I were excited by the thought that we had discovered a gem in our neighborhood. We could not have been more wrong. The eggs benedict (all $15 of it) was served ice cold and topped with what could only be described as 'yellow sauce'. This was served with a pile of cold, microwaved, soggy potatoes. My wife sent hers back as it was inedible and we recieved no apology from the waitress. In fact she seemed almost angry that we did not want cold and offensive food.

Don't be fooled...
Living in New York, a good measure of a restaurant's quality should be the crowd inside. My girlfriend and I were enticed by the healthy variety of choices eloquently described on the menu. The vibrant Friday after-work crowd sealed the deal. Don't be fooled as we were! $35 later, for a rueben and a tuna sandwich, we realized our mistake (and considered a "dine-and-ditch"). The meal was possibly the worst we ever had. The "oven-roasted turkey rueben" was a grilled cheese (cheese unmelted) with deli turkey meat. The only acceptable part of the meal were the hand-cut french fries (which were cold). We found it strange that you did not get fries and cole slaw, but a choice between the two. The cole slaw was inedible and smelled. The tuna sandwich was some unidentifiable patty. To top it off, the restaurant is so packed full of tables you have to wait and dodge the busboys and the mass exodus of people attempting to leave before you could even sit down or leave. Stay away!

Subpar Service
Went with 3 other people. The service was pretty dismal. Waitress never refilled our water. We had to ask each time we wanted more coffee. My wife ordered the granola and specifically asked if it would have yogurt with it. When the food came the yogurt was nowhere to be seen, our waitress couldn't be found, and the bus boy couldn't speak English. We finally found the waitress to ask about the yogurt. . .she had to leave and go to the kitchen to come back and tell us there was no yogurt available and gave her milk instead 15 minutes later. Not to mention, the restaurant has a $14 minimum per head. . .so don't bother ordering anything under this threshold - even though there are meals priced below the threshold. Won't be back. . .

Never again
A group of us decided to try this place for brunch since we often walked past and it looked good and always busy. For starters, the restaurant manager was running around the restaurant yelling at all the waiters, which made for quite an unpleasant atmosphere. Then we all ordered and they messed up 2 of our orders. We told the waiter who was very apologetic and said he'd fix them for us. When our plates came back 10 minutes later, one was ok but my friend's omelette that they messed up. They literally took the old eggs and shoved some sliced cheese in the middle which didn't even melt. On top of it all, they must have left her plate under the hot lamp, which made her salad completely soggy. When we called over the restaurant manager to complain, he was completely unapologetic and said, well, if you want a new omelette you're going to have to wait a long time because there's a lot of people ahead of you and we're really busy. It was unbelievable! By far the worst service I've ever seen. To top it all off, they didn't take anything off the bill and automatically added 18% gratuity since there were 6 of us!

Fantastic Brunch
I'm not sure reviews below ours, but we had a very enjoyable experience. Our waiter was very attentive, always refilling the coffee and asking if our meals were alright. We ate off the brunch menu and were very satisfied with the portions of french toast and banana stuffed pancakes. There were a decent amount of bananas stuffed in the pancakes as well as some on top. The coffee was pretty tasty and the atmosphere provided for a relaxing brunch. The french toast came with deliciously ripe strawberries. Also, although we did not take advantage this time, there was a full bar at 11am. Overall, we had a very nice experience.

avoid
after 9 days in NYC visiting several restaurants this one turned out to be the least good. You could do so much better for the same money elsewhere. For a drink and some snacks perhaps, but avoid the food.
