I looked all over Ireland trying to find a place like this but didn't find it until a few years later in the Meat Packing. The ambience is beautiful, unique, cozy and lively. The food is top notch, I have had better meals here than anyplace in New York and the very fair prices are well below what I expected for the quality. Live Irish music on Sundays early evening is the best as are all the people that work here. The owner knows what he or she is doing. This place will be here forever.

The food is nothing to die for; you can make these things at home and save yourself some money. The interior design and atmosphere is really cool, roamy and dim, great for a night out with a large crowd. The staff is also very freindly.

jersey shore crowd-rude, obnoxious...not more to be said. drinks are weak...music is lame. there are way better places to eat/drink in meatpacking.

the drinks, the food and the service are all subpar. took forever to get our food and when we finally did, it was the wrong order. go somewhere else, no point in waiting forever for mediocre bar food and having to deal with the crowd and service.

Ok, have to admit the food was awesome! Loved it! But serving rail whiskey and insisting it was Jack Daniels is unforgiveable. There were 3 die-hard brand-fans in our group and we were all too aware that they had pulled a switcheroo on us though they denied it. For this reason I will never return to this place and encourage the public to take a stand against nonsense like this. I will also add that the service was not good! We were friendly and polite and the waitress was so incredibly rude.

They have THE BEST fish and chips I have ever had. The portions are huge, the prices are cheap and during lunch it's half price drinks! Get the bloody mary, they make it great. Nice, Nice people.

I haven't had the pleasure of visiting many Irish pubs in Mahattan but after a recent visit to the Brass Monkey on Little West 12th Street, I won't need to even look. It's straight to the Brass Monkey for me, a top class pub and great value. They serve one of the best pints of Guinness you'll get anywhere - including in Ireland - and a fabulous steak. The staff (and management) are very professional and are delighted to serve you - unlike the grumpy and abrupt lot we tend to get in Dublin. The only negative is the location, it's a bit isolated and you'll need to use a cab to get to and from it - having said worth it the few dollars . Well done guys.
