    fake alcohol, good food

Ok, have to admit the food was awesome! Loved it! But serving rail whiskey and insisting it was Jack Daniels is unforgiveable. There were 3 die-hard brand-fans in our group and we were all too aware that they had pulled a switcheroo on us though they denied it. For this reason I will never return to this place and encourage the public to take a stand against nonsense like this. I will also add that the service was not good! We were friendly and polite and the waitress was so incredibly rude.

    Great cheap lunch

They have THE BEST fish and chips I have ever had. The portions are huge, the prices are cheap and during lunch it's half price drinks! Get the bloody mary, they make it great. Nice, Nice people.

    Home from Home in Manhattan.

I haven't had the pleasure of visiting many Irish pubs in Mahattan but after a recent visit to the Brass Monkey on Little West 12th Street, I won't need to even look. It's straight to the Brass Monkey for me, a top class pub and great value. They serve one of the best pints of Guinness you'll get anywhere - including in Ireland - and a fabulous steak. The staff (and management) are very professional and are delighted to serve you - unlike the grumpy and abrupt lot we tend to get in Dublin. The only negative is the location, it's a bit isolated and you'll need to use a cab to get to and from it - having said worth it the few dollars . Well done guys.

    Just what the area needed

I could not believe my luck finding this place. The bar is so cozy, the beer list is great. If you get a chance check it out - $5 beers are the the best value in the area.

Best thing going for it is the location

The beers are 6 bucks, which even though this is NYC, can add up quickly. The bar service is speedy however. I like the decor....being mostly wood, and dark. The thing I like most is the fact that you're near the water in the meat packing district and right outside is desolate. At night this is the only sign of life on the block.
