refined thai cuisine
The chef provides excellent dishes, that are clean and innovative. Service was polite and professional. The prices are excellent, but maybe too good as it seems the low cost attracts unappreciative college & youth crowd which can be distracting to sit amongst. This is a James Beard award recipient and its embarrassing to eat amongst bratty rude kids looking for a "deal" who have no clue how good they've got it there.

No receipt provided
The food was ok. However after paying for my meal I asked for a receipt and all they gave me was a little stub that was attached to the kitchen ticket. I requested them to provide me a valid receipt which I needed to claim a reimbursement from my company. After a lot of haggling they gave me the kitchen ticket itself which did not even indicate the name of the restaurant. I asked for the owner or manager and was told that the owner was in Bangkok and the manager was not around. Left me quite shocked.

Great Value and Delicious
The food is tasty, the service is quick and attentive, and the prices are very reasonable. Go for the early bird and get soup, salad, summer roll, and entree for less than $10. Also, alcohol is BYO. Can't be beat!

Cheap food, sweet service
I live a few blocks from Boyd, and go at least once a week. It is very inexpensive, they have great drink specials on beer and make delicious frosty Thai Iced Tea for $2. The staff is very pleasant and attentive, more so than any other restaurant in the hood. I love Boyd for the Tuna Mango Salad-with it's spicy lime vinaigrette, the steak salad with cucumber, and the Spicy Noodles with Chicken. Two can eat 2 courses with several drinks for under $40-gotta be one of the best deals around. Oh and the music is hilarious, sometimes a Mariah Cary remix and/or hot Euro techno from 1996. Nothing fancy here. Cheap, fun and fast. Love it all.

Grrreat!
Although one review already said, the place was quite small, but the option of sitting outside is perfect on a summer night. The staff was very friendly and fast. They made sure something was always on the table. Constantly filling wine and water glasses. LOVED that! Most places leave you to do it yourself. The crab cakes and shrimp dumplings were great. Definitely a great place to grab something quick to eat. Also CHEAP and CHEERFUL. My favorite part.

Yum
Although a tiny restaurant, the food and service are both great. The food is fresh, well seasoned and the vegetables are crisp. I love the Pad Prik Khing and their curry dishes are also nicely done.

Fantastic
The tiny place is hard to miss -- and the cramped interior decor is more or less forgettable -- but the food is fantastic. Fresh, interesting, delicious and spicy (as spicy as you want it, you just have to let them know). Finally, a ginger sauce with a serious kick. Good selection for vegetarians, as well. Try the avocado curry. Always reasonable prices! Only downside: if you've got a big party you may be better off carrying the food out. still, this is proof that the best things do come in small places.
