Bouley

Bouley was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone. We had the tasting menu with the wine parings and both the food and wine were wonderful. If you can, I would suggest going during the week. We went on a Wednesday and had no problem with a reservation or wait although the dining room was pretty full. The staff was very attentive.

Bouley has the most amazing food. The fre-fix lunch is a very good deal--$35 for a great tasting menu. Great place for celebrations of all kinds. The service is great without being stuffy. Make sure to try all the breads they offer--they are the best.

Very fine dining, service. Quite expensive, but well worth it. Its a good place to go for holiday dinner or other occasion. I have been there several times and will go again.

I have dined at Bouley many times, and have always found the food, service and atmosphere superb. I've dined at Bouley on holidays, and the special dinners are always fabulous. Service could not be better. Food is delicious all the time.

On a positive note my wife & I along with my in-laws had a wonderful dinner this past Friday night. Unfortunately we had a major problem with our reservation. We arrived on time for our 9:30 reservation and were told that it would be at least a half hour before our table would be ready. We went across the street to the Odeon for a drink, since Bouley only has a service bar. They said that they would call us on our cell when our table was ready. Eventually I called them and the hostess suggested that we eat somewhere else. We did not give up that easily and went back to the restaurant. We didn't sit down til about 10:30, after I went over to complain to David Bouley himself. I have to say that there is no excuse for this situation considering the price and reputation of this place (we spent almost $600 for dinner that night w/ tip). We were treated well once we were seated but a rich meal at that hour is not as enjoyable. I will not be going back to Bouley in the near future.
