DO NOT ORDER THE FILET MIGNON!
It is my considered opinion that there are certain things a restaurant chef MUST be able to do, or he/she has no business being a chef. One of these things is knowing how to cook a steak. After a lovely half-plate of the papardelle special, I ordered the Filet Mignon - medium rare. It arrived medium-well. I sent it back. Now it returned raw (the outside seared, the inside uncooked). The waitress was very considerate, I will say. But seriously, people - if you can't focus enough on cooking my dinner, why am I paying to eat there? Never going back.

Beautiful Outdoor Seating
Ask to sit outside in the Garden..Beautiful wooded panels with lights to make you feel like you're in Italy. The food was genuine Italian Food that was the freshest food I've eaten in NYC so far. Definitely A must if you enjoy Italian and great service!

In desperate need new service staff
Went there three times now, the food is ok, nothing that I would qualify as special. The wait staff is in desperate need of managing. Three out of three times the staff was un-attentitive, distracted, and just all around unpleasant to deal with. So -- its a great place to be left alone and have a long conversation. Dont go for the food or service!

Good'ol'reliabottino
Tasty food. Attentive service. Polite staff. Slow delivery. Good portions for the price. I mean you're in Chelsea, you won't find a more stable bet for lunch.

great atmosphere and food; okay service
Bottino has wonderful food and a great atmosphere. This, however, is tempered by its staff. The hostess was rude to one of the women in our party. Once seated the waiter was aloof at best. This place has potential but needs to lose the attitude.

great take outs for lunch, a bit overpriced, but its worth it
