Dinner Party Hit
We had a surprised b'day dinner party on 12.17.11 & it was a success. Danny made it financially possible, Lauren & the staff helped make it memorable. The guests had fun. They loved the atmosphere and the service. Thank you Bottino for a wonderful night. Happy Holidays!!

Bum's Rush no more
Dear all, I would like to revisit my last post about this restaurant, after the Valentines's Day rushed dinner. My Husband and I waited a couple of weeks and gave Bottino another try. After all the food was excellent. I'm so glad we went back. Again the food was excellent and the service superb. The atmosphere was just right. We enjoyed everything about this little hideaway on 10th avenue in Chelsea. If you don't live in the neighborhood, it's worth the trip. Ignore my last post, as that night seems to have been an just act of over effiency. Go and enjoy!

Great private party space!
We had a wonderful dinner party for 30 guests at Bottino. Quick service but we were not rushed, and the food was excellent. The room was comfortable and the overall scene was very lively in the restaurant, but plenty of attention to our group. I couldn't have been happier with the menu, service or atmosphere and my guests were all impressed.

Bum rush Valentine's Dinner
My Husband took me to Bottino for their prix fix $65 4 course Velentine's dinner which included a cocktail. We arrived at 6:55pm for a 7:00pm reservation and would you believe we were walking out the door at 7:45pm. The restaurant was probably 25% full, we were seated right away and before we even sat down the first course was on the talbe. We weren't even given our menus, bread or water and the first course was put down. This was definately a sign of what was to come. Our orders were taken quickly. plates served quickly and removed quickly. There was never any time to savor this delicious food. Everything was delicious but we were still enjoying our first cocktail during dessert. Good thing we didn't order a bottle of wine. What was the rush guys. Your staff needs more training and at $65 a person. we should have been allowed more time to enjoy our meal. The service was that of a high class Macdonalds. This staff needs more training in what classy service truely is. It's a shame that your wonderful food was served in this manner. FYI a 20% tip was added to the bill for 2 people. I've seen this on larger tables before but a table of 2 and $20%. No wonder the staff didn't care about giving it dinner guests a worthwhile experience. I'd love to go again for the food but will definatelt think twice because of the service.

Best food ever
I have been in almost every dinning place in the world but have never had the same dining pleasure that bottino provides. It made me feel like if I was back in Italy . Magnifico! Excelente!

Stay Away
Neither a decent server, good food, pretty garden nor nice interior can make up for the surly, snooty, dismissive and argumentative attitude of the hosts. I was treated this way by not just 1, but 2 hostesses all in the space of 1 evening. It's hard to imagine how even good food and a pretty garden could sustain this level of rudeness and ambivalence. Spend your money in a restaurant which actually appreciates its customers. It's NOT Bottino.

Drive thru
Drive through is often associated with fast food, where time and efficiency are the main goals. When it comes to dining in good company with friends and restauranteurs one rarely thinks of those factors. Time should be well spent and not sped through, efficiency should be personable and not a matter of getting your guests in and out. Perhaps it was the evening I was there. Coincidentally there was a large event going on, which should have been managed better, away from the main dining room. The service was rushed, and the time difference between each course was by McDonald's standards. I questioned whether any of it was prepared or it was just plated and waiting for us. My dining companions and I both found the entrees a tad bit too salty. The salads were great (although rushed), but the entrees were not up to par, the desserts felt as if they were sitting there waiting for a diner to claim them. To my dismay, I felt let down just as the poached pears sank to the bottom of the footed bowl sunk under a puddle of cream.
