Go on date here and get the dates...YUM!

Went there last night on a double date. There was quite a wait but there was space available at the bar...so we sat & ate there. The bartender, Emily, was fabulous. Everything she recommended was spot on...from the wine to tapas. And speaking of the tapas...yummy...especially the dates. They are to die for. I mean, how could you go wrong with a date stuffed with cheese and wrapped in perfectly crispy bacon??? Definitely recommend.

    Poor service

went on Saturday night at 5 PM, figuring it would be slightly less busy at that time. It was. Didn't matter. Completely understaffed, maybe someone didn't show up, which would explain being treated poorly by the people who did show up. I go out frequently, to many busy restaurants, and am so unused to be treated rudely that I don't even know what to say. Service was astoundingly unprofessional. Food is good, room is nice, tables are comfortable, but I would not go back. Very unpleasant and I really wanted to like this place.

The food here is amazing, the atmosphere is fun, but gets pricey fast, so be warned, that even though the food's delicious, you end up paying more for less. Will definitely return!

Ate here last night and was really expecting to be wowed since the place is perpetually packed and the reviews were pretty good. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. We ordered the omelette, the lamb skewers, the gambas, the chicken en tree and the streak en tree. Out of all of the dishes, the lamb was probably the best, but nothing worth writing home about. The shrimp had a very fishy taste and some of them had pieces of the shell still attached, which is NOT the way they should be served. The chicken en tree had flavors that were completely mismatched. The chicken itself was fine, but the other flavors on the plate did not compliment the chicken in any way. The mushrooms overpowered the dish and the spinach had pieces of dirt in it. Tsk tsk. My date had the steak and asked for it medium. Apparently medium means rare because the center of the steak was completely raw. The only highlight of our meal was the wine. The wine was very good as was the service. I can't say much for the food though.

This is a great place for after work - alone or with a group. It gets a little crowded and noisy, but the atmosphere is trendy without being snotty, and the food is very good. Portions are small, so be prepared to spend a bit (our bill for two was almost $100 before we knew it!). Huge wine list, sweet sangria, and a really nice selection of tapas to suit any palate. My favs are the dates wrapped in bacon, the lentil stew, and the grilled lamb.

    A must try!

We love this place....Food is good (stuffed dates are my favorite), atmosphere is fantastic, best rose sangria in town and most of all, it's a great addition to the fabulous restaurants in the Flatiron/Chelsea area. The wait could be a bit of a pain...but you end up meeting some nice people at the bar while you get a table. Definitely a must!

    Worth the wait!

After reading Bruni's review I just had to try out this relatively new restaurant. Unfortunately they do not take reservations and we ended up coming on a Saturday night at 8 pm. Naturally, there was a pretty long wait. My friend and I, however, ended up hanging out at the bar for a while mingling and making friends with others waiting for their tables. After about 45 minutes of socializing, we were seated and I must say, the food certainly did live up to my expectations. We started out with a bunch of different tapas and then shared the paella. It was simply amazing. Service was what I expected for the style of the restaurant. Music could use some improvement though.
