The rumors were true. The good, the bad, and the ugly.

So a good friend of mine constantly tells me to try Bonnie's for their buffalo wings. I've also heard good things about their burgers from various reviews. So tonight my friend and I decided to give them a whirl. Well folks the rumors are true! Some of the poorest service I have ever come across. Mind you I am not a person that usually cares much about service in a place if the food is great however this place was pretty poor in the service category but I will return to that in a moment. We placed an order for 10 buffalo wings. My friend ordered a burger with Swiss cheese, medium. I also ordered a bacon cheddar burger, medium. We also ordered a beer and a soda. The beverages arrived fairly quickly and the wings followed shortly after. Let me tell you something. These were some of the best wings I've ever had. Usually I find buffalo wings that are drenched in sauce and have no crispiness to them. These wings were quite crisp and very flavorful. After we devoured the wings our burgers arrived and this is where things headed downhill. The burgers are supposed to be spiced angus beef and yes you can definitely taste the spice in the meat. However the other thing I noticed upon my first bite was the distinct flavor of a burned, charred, and bitter burger. Upon examing the burger up close I could immediately see it was well done. Well done does not always have to be a disaster but when I removed the bun I could see the burger was quite black and heavily charred. I took a look at my friend's burger which was correctly cooked on the inside but on the outside it was once again pitch black. I then directed my attention over to the grill and watched several other burgers being prepared. Almost every single burger was neglected to the point where they became blackened. Now getting back to the service. At this point my hands were swimming in grease because I had used up my 1 and only napkin on the wings. Trying to flag someone down for another napkin was nearly impossible. You will be ignored completely unless you are a large table. Finally I just grabbed some napkins layin on the side. We then tried ordering an additional 2 sodas. Once again nearly impossible to get anyone's attention but once the order was taken it was immediately forgotten or possibly even ignored. Shortly after the check arrived without even asking about dessert or anything else. Bottom line people: The wings are excellent! The burgers have great potential just put someone else behind the grill!

It's really not bad, but they should consider cleaning and delivery

I've been to bonnie's a million times. Sometimes nothing hits the spot like one of their burgers. I just wish they'd clean up a bit. The walls are starting to get a little grimey after all these years. I also wish they'd deliver.

In these times of burger madness one place stays tru.....BONNIES. This place has the best burger & beer in BK. Wings are great too.

    excellent burgers, tiny space

happened in here on a whim & the food was really good. burgers were cooked to order (i was surprised that my med. rare was indeed med. rare!) & while there is no kids' menu, they will make a burger w/no spice rub. portions were very big and the only downside was the interior layout. this place is small! no real area to wait inside & the tables are jammed together. however, for the price & quality of the food, i was able to suffer sitting that close to my kids. our waiter was fine ... very busy & harried, but we weren't expecting much & thankfully we weren't in need of refills.

    Rude Rude Rude

it was 11:30 at night, and we were the only people in there, and they were playing music really loud, and I couldn't hear what my dad or my wife were saying, I said to the waiter "can you turn the music down a bit, it's really loud" waiter: "sorry, can't do it" me: "what do you mean, you can't do it?" waiter: "can't do it" me: "You mean you won't do it? Or you physically can't do it because the knob broke or something?" waiter: "Can't do it" the food is good but the people running the place are so rude.

Very Solid Burgers and cheap beer

Had to fight our way in there on a Sunday night, but once we got a table, the meal was great. While it took a while for our medium-rare cheeseburgers to come out (normally a sign they'll be a hard medium by the time they hit the table), they actually were perfectly done, nice and pink inside, and appropriately sloppy. I love that spicy mayo sauce they have. And Genesee Cream Ale, while it means nothing to a Californian like me, transported my friend back to college.

    Great place to take Visitors

This really is the best place to take out-of-towners or those that come ALL the way from Manhattan to visit. Altho the space is tight, I've always had the best luck of coming right before the crowd (at least to get a few seats at the counterwhich is super fun cuz you get to witness the grillin' as well as the amazing amount of fries being dispensed.) Also having a few great brews on tap, the spiced burgers are wonderful since you get put just about anything on them. Oh, and the wings are yum too. Sidenotemy first visit I made the mistake of getting the grilled chicken sandwich with brie, which was just too dry. Stick to the burgers. Even the veggie burgers rock!
