mediocre food, bad decor and terrible service. We come here on a Gilt City deal and were treated very badly. I was told when I made the reservation that they could only fit us in at 6:30 as it got too busy after that (this was because we were using a prepaid certificate). The place turned out to be empty when we arrived and when we left. Waitress was rude and made us feel like we were imposing by being there. I definitely would not go back.

They make a good Lobster Roll!! Naturally, it came in a butter-grilled bun. But along with it was a pile of the best coleslaw I've ever tasted. We sat in the main room and watched the sun set over The Hudson River. I started with their Sake Martini (excellent), but then explored a few other drink selections which were all good. Whomever buys their decor has a great eye, it's all vintage mid-century modern and impeccably installed. The staff was fun to hang out with. Stephanie was our waitress and did a great job. The owner, Andrea, also came and sat with us and chatted for a while. Everyone is treated like family there. Very nice.

an excellent bar, great oysters, a couple of quiet rooms in the back and an energetic bar in the front, a great hangout!

I went to Bongo as soon as it opened... the menu looked great, and I love to try new places. Upon arriving for dinner at 9:30, I noticed that my group were the ONLY customers there. You'd think that it would mean that we would receive stellar service and attention. You guessed wrong... our waitress wasn't great - she didn't take notes for our orders, and instead had to ask us what we wanted 2-3 times each. She also had NO IDEA what kind of vodka they served, and instead of bringing or creating a list for us, she suggested we get up and go to the bar. She also couldn't manage to bring out 5 ppls meals at the same time - when again, we were the only people there! When the bill was presented and we wanted to divide it between the 5 ppl , she immediately pointed out that they only use 2 cards per check, and when we challenged her manager on this, she proceeded to YELL at us. Who does that? I will say that when it came to food, the crab cakes were burnt, but the lobster roll was actually delicious. Too bad, I won't ever go back...
