Bone Lick Park

My partner and I frequent Bone Lick Park a good bit for Saturday brunch, but after this Saturday we won’t be back. They have an $11.95 brunch that includes unlimited mimosas, Blood Mary, or frozen margaritas. The price is a bit misleading, however, since most entrees have an additional one to three dollar charge. (Why not just charge a uniform $12.95 or $13.95?) A burger with cheese, then, comes out to almost $14. As so many restaurants in the area do, BLP has a “90 minute limit” warning at the top of every menu. What, do people linger for hours guzzling unlimited alcohol? Probably, but the post’s still tacky. Anyway, get past that, and the food’s not bad. My partner had sausage biscuits with gravy, eggs, and cheddar grits ($13.95). I had a ½ pound sirloin burger. Nothing exceptional, but as good as we could ask for. The service, however, was poor. On a super-busy Saturday afternoon there were exactly two servers managing the whole restaurant. What’s worse, they kept openly bickering with each other about something. What we presumed was the owner kept stepping in to calm things and juggle drink refills. A few more servers would have significantly helped things. Overall, the food was ok, but the ambience was something of a nightmare, and we won’t be back. There are too many restaurants in that area with good food and better service.

I just had a wonderful time at this place the service was prompt and polite, the food was delishl i brought some southern friends here for brunch it was very busy but the waiter made sure our unlimited cocktails that came with the brunch which is only 11.95 were always full ..it has a mixed clientele for brunch which is nice not just your mimosa sippin yuppies ...I had a special of brisket and eggs ,the eggs came out so soft scrambled like i always want but can never get unless i make them my self and the brisket i found to be very tender and just smoked to perfection , the bellinis that i had throughout my meal although somewhat of an unusual pairing actually really complimentd the sweet bbq sauce on the brisket my friends loved the homemade muffins that came with tasty jam i had to pass on them even though i was tempted (damn you carbs) ...all in all i'd say im going back there pretty often its a very warm friendly airy spot

My party of 6 had to wait twenty minutes for a table even though a 6 person table was open and available. The host let us know that the table was reser ved however the party was late . We were seated outside for our dinner even though it was january, weather was warm but windy so that was ok. 5 of 6 drinks came right after they were ordered but my margherita did not arrive until the appatizers were served. Onion rings were oily. Wings were small and the order only had 6 or 7 wings for $7. Sausage app was very tasty best part of meal. Main course-- beef ribs were not that lean but tasty-- brisket was salty -- baby back ribs were tasty good sauce-- turkey burger was average .. Sides dishes -- french fries were good -- string beans were very good-- sweet yams were also very good -- corn bread was dry and bland. -i have been to almost all manhatten bbq places this joint is worth a try it is good but not great.

I had the fried chicken and it was dry on the inside but also very very greasy. Mac and cheese on the side was very good, as was the corn bread. Pulled pork was pretty good, but nothing special.

The food is only OK. The brisket was rubbery and the rest of the food was very plain and unappealing. The service and atmosphere were excellent, but if you are going to go for good barbeque, find another place...

Bone Lick Park located on the corner of Greenwich Avenue and 7th Avenue South is the perfect place to bring friends. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is friendly and not too loud. My favorite is the macaroni and cheese with pulled pork and a cold beer! Then go see a show in the neighbordhood, you've got the Village Vanguard and the Cabaret LIPS. Enjoy!

I don't know why anyone would dare say that the food isn't appetizing at Bone Lick. The food is so deliciously delicious. Now, I'm speaking of the few things I've tried from the dinner menu: Jumbo Beef Ribs; Hand Carved Smoked Turkey; Texas Beef Rib Sandwich; Macaroni & Cheddar; French Fries; Fresh String Beans; and Cornbread. The prices may seem steep to some, but you will have more than enough food. The place is usually empty (I don't know why) so it allows for those dining to be quite comfortable. Also, the service is really great. On one dining venture, there were four of us and we paid with four separate credit cards. This is a bit much to ask of a waiter, but he did it with no complaints! In conclusion, go to Bone Lick for delicious food.
