I visit this place at least once a week and know the staff by name. The staff is friendly - however forgetful. The food selection is small, and are the portions. You should stay away from the bland pulled chicken and pulled pork. It's never packed when i'm there, even in the summer.

Ribs are usually boiled and then smoked. The ones they delivered to my apartment were boiled and not smoked. Or maybe they had smoke waved over them. Or maybe someone said "smoke" to them. Anyway, you get the picture. Overboiled, underdone and way, way underflavored.

I just had a great experience with this place that I'd like to share. I was given the task of organizing an office Holiday Party for 18 employers and coworkers. My caterer bailed and left me in the lurch at the last minute. I completely freaked. I was new on the job and seriously wanted to impress the boss, so a friend told me to try Bone Lick Park, around the corner from where she lived in the Village. I only had a day and a half to throw everything together at this point, but Toni (the manager I spoke to) was really helpful. She suggested a whole smoked turkey, some salad platters, mashed potatoes & yams, and, get this, a whole suckling pig. I passed on the homemade pumpkin pie (I work with cupcake purists), but all the food arrived right on time, and everything was amazing. I got a nice compliment from one of my employers (which has yet to translate into a raise) and just want to pass it along to Bone lick. Thanks again.

After eating here several times and thinking "wow thats good barbecue" I had the occassion to have to eat there and could not have any alcohol because of some medication. I ordered the pulled pork platter (my favorite) and had a wake up call. The food (pulled pork) was cold, the sauce was served warm. Without the sauce the meat was tasteless and the sides were blah at best. When I complained I asked for the rib platter, the waitress refused to bring it out of the kitchen unless the cook made it "properly" whatever that means. the ribs were better than the pork but the sides were still blah EXCEPT for great slaw. In closing DRINK HEAVILY so you can enjoy as I had for so long.

The service is always efficient and friendly, the interior is cute, the food is always good to very good, and the prices are fine. Brunch is a very good deal, with unlimited mimosas, frozen margaritas or bloody marys, a decent amount of food and a more interesting selction of brunch entrees than most places have, all for 12-15 bucks.

A bit pricy but about average for the area. I had the salmon salad, mac & cheese. My guest had wings, a mixed green salad, mac & cheese. We both drank Lynchburgh lemonades. The food and drinks were well prepared to perfection, authentic ingredients, no scrimping with adequate proportions. It was my first visit , yesterday, Sunday evening around 6:30 PM. It was not crowed, only 8 people total. II'll be back.

I had Brunch here this past Saturday and boy do I disagree with the comment below. Our service was outstanding and the food was awesome. We came with 8 people and were seated within 10 minutes. I had some incredible pulled pork with eggs and I also tasted a friends dish who had the beef ribs with eggs. Both were ridiculously delicious and smoked to perfection. This BBQ could easily compete with some I've had down south. Add to that unlimited Bloody Mary's and forget about it! You can't ask for a better deal. The Bloodys, by the way, are off the hook- spicy and strong! For $11.95 or even $14.95 I would never complain!
