    Poor BBQ

tried delivery from here. Not Impressed. Like the other reviews, then ribs were a little rubbery, the fries drenched in fat.

Not the best BBQ I've had in NYC

My husband and I stopped here for dinner after a long evening when we were starved and needed something in the area. We ordered the onion rings as an appetizer. They were limp and flavorless and literally dripping oil. The bleu cheese dip was ok, but it's difficult to dip something that's so limp into a very thick dip. I ordered the smoked turkey with the beets and my husband ordered the brisket with mac&cheese. The turkey was tough and flavorless (I blame this on their bbq sauce. It wasn't smokey or sweet the predominant flavors were vinegar and tomato. Who serves that as their 'signature' sauce and thinks it's ok?) My beets were fine until I got to the bottom of the dish and found almost a half inch of oil. It didn't even add flavor- they were just plain cooked beets tossed in a hell of a lot of oil. The mac&cheese was good, but again the brisket was generic and flavorless. Within the past couple of months we've eaten at Dallas BBQ, Rub, Hill Country, and Wildwood, and I can't understand why anyone would actually eat at Bone Lick Park when they have so many better options in the city.

    Rubber Ribs

went here on Saturday night, loved the clean sleek look of the place and the giant Coca-Cola sign at the bar. Not your usual BBQ joint decor. We were sat right away and greeted in a timely fashion by the water, ordered the videlia onion rings as an appetizer, greasy batter was falling off the rings, Maytag bleu cheese dip was good just wished someone had thought to put a napking under the rings to absorb all the grease that began to puddle on the plate. Entree we both had 2 meat combo, I had smoked turkey & baby back ribs, turkey was moist & good but baby back ribs were like rubber, real fatty and flavorless, to be honest I'm not sure what they were. I had a hard time cutting them! yams and Mac& cheese good, nothing to write home about. The corn bread was soggy (?). Pulled Pork was okay, but I prefer it when it's so flavorfuil you don't need to add any extra sauce to it, and I had to add a lot if sauce to it here! Frozen margaritas are good, all in all we left sort of unsatisfied.

    Genuine BBQ with a twist

Loved everything I ordered here! The baby back ribs were so lean and delicious, the macaroni and cheese (as suggested by our server) was awesome, and the cornbread is very authentic. The wait staff was attentive and very pleasant, and to top it off, there were margarita and mojito specials! Definitely will be back.

    Authentic Southern Touch...

Great bang for the buck Pleasantly surprised. Being a southerner, I am critical of BBQ and southern customs in general. This place more than surpassed my expectations. The service was great and the food even better. Dry rubbed baby back ribs were some of the best, leanest I've ever had. The $3.50 margaritas and mojitos are nothing to look over either, they were delicious. Highly recommend this place.... for anyone!

    meh.....

I've been here a few times and each time I was left wanting something better. The food isn't so much bad as unremarkable. nothing stands out but nothing is awful either. The service at least when I was there didnt seem to care when we were served . Overall ... if you really want barbecue and dont want to leave the area its okay.

    Delicious BBQ & Wonderful Staff

I have eaten at Bone Lick Park a number of times for dinner and once for Sunday brunch. Most recently, I went with some girlfriends for dinner on a Thursday night. All of my experiences there have been wonderful. The food is always delicious (especially the beef ribs, pulled pork, brown sugared yams, and mac & cheese), and the service is always friendly and attentive. One time, my husband and I went for dinner, and we overheard our waiter saying that he had been working for 10 hours when we got there. Somehow he was still cheerful and friendly throughout our dinner. All of the waiters I have had have been the same way. When I went for brunch, I expected the service to falter given how crowded it was, but my party was seated within 10 minutes of arriving, and as soon as I took the last sip of my mimosa, another one was sitting in front of me (that kind of service continued through the entire brunch)! I have been consistently impressed with the quality of service and food at Bone Lick Park, and I will definitely be back.
