    disappointing

I ordered Carolina Pulled Pork, and what I got is, cold, chewy, fatty, pieces of pork with a cold bbq sauce to go with it. It is seriously not good. I also got green beans which are very subpar. Bone Lick Park (sweet name) has no idea what reall bbq is. This place just seriously ruined my f'ing night.

    Great Brunch Spot

This is one of my favorite brunch spots in the city. They offer a great selection of brunch favorites, everything from pancakes, to huevos rancheros, to fish and chips starting at $14 - including unlimited mimosas, margeritas, and maybe bloody marys. I've never had a bad meal here. There aren't nearly enough places in the city with a deal like this - especially in a great location like the West Village.

    yikes......the 'clean version'

went there the other day....been lotsa times, loved the sides (BBQ is a bit on the over-cooked and fatty side, but for the price and specials, it was great. Hey, what else can you expect from yankees?.....joke...) HOWEVER, I was shocked at the waitstaff who-- for whatever reason-- could NOT get it together. S/he somehow managed to remember when we'd sat down (so as to keep tabs on the drinks included in the special....you know....so we'd have to start paying for REAL drinks) but had somehow forgotten that in OVER ONE HOUR of waiting for our food, we hadn't eaten. Yes, that's right. Brought us our check, but Oops! We hadn't gotten our food. How do you not know if/when a table has eaten?!? Granted, things get busy. As a waitress in over 18 restaurants ranging from fine cuisine to greasy-spoon dining, I can sympathize when tables are coming and going, and there are busboys taking care of business. But for God's sake. To start, s/he FORGOT our order...came back to check that we had actually ordered. ..And then flat-out forgot to feed us. Sadly, the table next to us had been seated for over 20 mins, and when the waiter returns s/he begins to argue-- no, really, argue-- with how long it's been since they've been waiting for someone to get a drink order. Probably a first date, too. They looked awkward, so certainly it was a first date they'll never forget. Ordinarily, one might say "well, maybe it was just THAT busy". But the problem is, they'd made several rounds through our section...so it begs the question: WHAT THE CRAP? and special thanks go out to management on this one. How did you manage to hire someone who's obviously never done this before? 50+ times visits in 2 yrs....I guess I reached my limit. effin' yikes.

    Eh...

Positives. Good beers on tap, pretty good service, good sides. Negatives. The BBQ is fantastically average. One time the food tasted way oversalted, another it was too smokey, and another the pulled pork I got was watery. I love BBQ, and I eat it all the time in the south. I know not to expect real southern bbq in NY, but this is just average. I'd go there for drinks though. Prices on the high side for entrees and sides as well.

Great staff. We were well taken care of

Everyone here is very professional and customer oriented. Gliches and snags don't hold up the service. I will be happy to come back here to see the friendly faces.

    Oh dear...

I live nearby and used to come to this place all the time when they first opened, mostly for the Beef Short Ribs. Well, I stopped back several times recently and was dismayed to find the quality of the BBQ has fallen off sharply. On recent visits both the Beef Ribs and the Baby Back Ribs had so much of an overwhelming smoke flavor that I almost had to gag. EXPLANATION: I went back the second time because I thought the first time had to be some kind of mistake, but no, someone in the kitchen or smokehouse or whatever is just smoking the bejesus out of the meat --HEY: IT'S OVER-SMOKED! Sides are still great, good beer on tap, efficient, friendly service, but hey -- take it easy on the smoke!

Great deals on drinks, delicious burger

My friends and I were lured into this place because of its $3.50 margaritas/mojitos (which were fantastic). I ordered a BBQ burger that was quite possibly the tastiest burger I have ever had. The place also had every side imaginable to offer...and killer fries. Very manly deco...I think it's the perfect place to for a girl to take a guy out to... Definitely check it out!
