New York has needed a place like Bond 45 for many years. But it looks like its been open for decades. Excellent food, and atmosphere. A real happening right down the street from the Crossroads of the World.

The food was okay, the service was pretty poor (my girlfriend and I ordered three dishes to share; only two ever came) and the place is just too darn big! You are just a number to them. No personalized service at all. And the prices are too high. There are better places out there?

Bustling, hectic, huge theater district restaurant. If you want to be in a huge scene, don't care about food quality, value or service, this is your place. They need to get their act together but obviously the restaurant has great appeal to tourists attending theater. The waiter placed a wrong order. He offered additional appetizer (overpriced small antipasto vegie plate of his choosing not our request) then charged for what should have been complimentary appeasement for he error. The busboys couldn't communicate or understand and in attempts of good service (or trying to rush us out?) kept taking away unused utensils and bread while we waited for food. The manager tried to make up at the end (too late) but probably only because we were seated next to where he was stationed and we clearly had a problem with the waiter and our bill. One hand doesn't know what the other is doing in the bustling joint. Seems there is only one thing to order that is really worthwhile and a good value. Would never go back but this restaurant will obviously succeed in the theater district.

Fun, classy, bustling atmosphere... yummy food, pleasant service, but a bit disorganized still for pre-theatre rush, but should improve.

Me and my mum visited this lovely italian restauarant on march 7th, after we had been to the theater. Even though we arrived late, and they had just stopped taking orders, the waiter said if we were quick to order, we could still have food. We decided on the spagetti bolognese which was extremely tasty. The service was quick, and the waiters/waitress were really friendly and chatty, and were happy to stop and chat even though they were really busy. The place is really lovely inside, and even though the food is of really high standard, and the interior is devine, the meal wasn't that expensive. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone going to new york. It's a good place to go pre/post theater visit.

Noisy, bustling, with athletic chefs tending four burners at once at the entrance open kitchen, Bond 45 was a terrific experience. The food was fine--not subtle or fancy, but substantial and very tasty. We loved the seafood grill plate, the roasted fish (not too well deboned, however) and the freshness of the vegetable tasting plates served as appetizers. Service by bus men was wonderful and very attentive. Even the ladies room was tended by a charming woman who offered towels. Definitely a return-to place.
