I was actually very surprised at my experience at this restaurant. I had heard good things about Bond 45 but upon approaching the restaurant in the Theatre District, I had the instinct to turn around and just go back home. The restaurant looks like nothing so much as a glorified diner from the outside and my expectations for the food became similarly low. However, my partner and I decided to take a chance and try out the restaurant. The restaurant is huge and obviously draws in a lot of the tourists frequenting Broadway shows. The food, though, is terrific. From the appetizers to the desserts, we had a meal, while not extraordinary, was consistently good Italian cuisine. And it being Restaurant Week, the meal was very attractively priced. I can see how people going to Bond 45 might think it overpriced, but during Restaurant Week, this place is a bargain. I'm very glad I decided to follow through on my reservation!

I had been here before, and liked it, so I brought a large group of friends from work. The waiter offered to bring a "sample" of appetizers. We had no idea this meant he was going to bring 13 different ones and charge us a fortune. My friends and I were NOT happy with the feeling that we had been ripped off. While the food is good, the service is not and the atmosphere is loud and noisy.

We had lunch on New Years Eve and enjoyed it. I agree that the service was not that good. And it was not that crowded when we got there before our matinee. We sat at a table for 2 in the bar and the bartender was our waiter. He was almost annoyed that he had to wait on us. The food was presented well and tasted good even though we ordered something pretty plain. It was a bit pricey but that New York City. We did have to wave our hands to get a second drink and had to ask twice for some bread with our salads but all in all, I think it wa a pretty good place. The antipasto bar when you walk in the restaurant looks so good. I'd go back again

Decent food and large space which is nice for a city restaurant. however be forewarned expect a higher check and poor service. the menu was over priced, simply brocolli and linguini was $22.00 Caesar salad, 13.00. The wait service started off good, and while the night progressed if went downhill. 45 minute wait between appetizer to entree. one order of seven wasn't prepared properly and the waiter never approached the table to address the issues, we had to get up and get management. additionally the waiter never came back to make sure we didn't neeed anything else management removed two items of the check to appease us, and our waiter apologized stating it was a busy saturday night. which is not an excuse, this restaurtant has been operating for a couple of years, and should know that it will be busy on a saturday night, considering its in Times Sq. with so many other restaurants in the city, i will bypass this place.

I ordered the lump crab cakes on a bed of greens and its was aweful. The salad had so much salt that it was all I tasted. I would never go again. And just because prosciutto means ham doesnt mean that what should have came on the other reviewers pizza should have been ham or what we know as ham. Prosciutto is dry-cured and very different. If they wanted a hawaiian slice im pretty sure they could have gotten it for fraction of the cost some place else.

One review really throws me. I've been eating there since it opened, and the lasagna is the same as it's always been. Meanwhile someone needs to buy an Italian/English dictionary. While there are various types of proscuitto, the word proscuitto is literally the Italian word for ham. Next we'll have a complaint that someone ordered blue cheese and got gorgonzola. Bond 45 is a little pricey, but consistent and very good.

The food was fantastic, the Filet Beef Mignon was simply sublime, my wife had a seafood pasta dish which she also enjoyed. The only problem we had was that the service was poor. It may have been the waiter we had as the table next to us also had issues. We had to wait 45 minutes for our meal, however the table next to us recieved their Starter and Main course at the same time, which they didn't ask for. Don't let this put you off, as I said we probably got unlucky with the waiter, however the food was tremendous.
