Delicious Chicken at a Price
This chicken is absolutely fantastic. Savory, unique flavor made me want more. Then I saw the prices. If you're willing to fork over ~$40 for a bucket of chicken (rather than buying 2 at a cheaper, greasier, less memorable joint as I probably would) then this is a great place.

awesome drumsticks!
I don't know what the chicken was like before this changed from Bon Bon to Bon Chon chicken, but it was AMAZING! My husband and I got an order of drumsticks to split with a spicy glaze and they certainly left us wanting more. Light, crispy skin with just the right amount of spice. Mmmmmmm. The only downside was that if you don't go at their peak time, you will have to wait quite a while (as much as 30 minutes according to their sign) because they cook to order. In that case, you would want to call ahead to get them going on your order. We would definitely want to stop here for chicken the next time we are downtown! I thought the prices were a bit on the high side, even for NYC, but one bite and I forgot all about price.

They Got Us Good.
Warning! This is not Bon Bon Chicken anymore. Once our favorite spot for fried chicken, we do not know what happened or who this "Bon Chon" is, but one thing is clear - This is not Bon Bon Chicken and there is no comparison. The chicken was dry and cold, the rice bowl was inedible and they didn't even cut the crust of their once scrumptious chicken sandwich. I miss my Bon Bon!

good but...
i really liked the wings! nicely crisp. my only gripe is that they are a little small.

Love the wings but too pricey!
I agree that the price for a few pieces of chicken wing is a total rip off, Not to mention you only get one section of the wing! Soo not worth it but i still order their wings because it's extremely flavorful and is not overly deep fried. Not you typical deep fried wings. The only time i would go there is when i have a strong craving for it, which thank goodness is once in a while. The price itself acts as a deterant...or else i would go there more often. It would not be so bad if they offer more chicken for the $$$.

Total Rip Off
This place is totally overrated. I ordered the small chicken combo and a kimchi cole slaw for $12. Ok, thats not so bad. However, when I got my food, I immediately knew that the 6 or so tiny wings/drums would not satisfy me. Therefore, I ordered a Chicken Katsu sandwhich as well (which was also skimpy for $8). The sandwhich and the cole slaw were actually very good. The chicken combo was just ok. The food filled me up but it should not take $20 to get full on fast food quality fare. The service and atmosphere are reminiscent of a fast food chain and the food takes forever to order.

An expensive snack
Our office LOVED this place when it first opened and offered free cole slaw with it's chicken boxes. The cole slaw is now a thing of the past, but the price hasn't changed. So, one ends up paying $8 (with tax) for six puny, bland strips and a day-old bun. The flavor is less intense than when the restaurant opened, and the waiting time seems to have doubled. Restaurant fliers used to ask patrons to call in 15 beforehand, and now the suggested wait time is 30 minutes. The staff's attitude is also on a slippery slope. They're impatient and would rather look perplexed than explain the new menu, which now has more emphasis on "rice bowls" than chicken strips and wings.
