    Bhangra with the Beautiful people

I love the food here! Its delicious, and the portions are the perfect size for sampling different dishes. Its not going to beat Curry Hill for cheapness or portion size, but thats not why you're going there is it? Love the murals, love the decor (the bathrooms are neat too:) It does get ridiculously crowded, and its hard to linger with twenty pairs of eyes watching your every move hoping you'll give up your table. They are drinking yummy cocktails though, so that should console you long enough to enjoy your dessert.

    Great food!

I love the crab cakes - they were great! The waitress was very helpful and super nice. The drinks are good. I really like the lychee limeade and the one with black currant (I can't remember the name). Also, red coconut chutney was very yummy. I tried one of their desserts that has red chili and pomegranate sauce and coconut flakes and it was delicious!! I'd love to come back again.

Lamb Dosa Heaven - Service Purgatory

I would happily pay $26 for round trip cab fare, just to eat two of those lovely minced lamb appetizers as my main course. And I suggest tipping/ promoting the first-floor 'busboy,' without whom I would likely have semi-starved, because he, and not the frustratingly non-vigilant waitress, was the only one who (repeatedly) provided any attention and service to my table...

    Funky and Unique

Went to Bombay Talkie a few weeks ago with a group of friends... ended up waiting at the bar for awhile because they would not seat us until all of the party arrived - so we enjoyed some of their delicious specialty cocktails while we waited. The food was cheap and excellent - yes, the portions are smaller but it was plenty if you also shared an appetizer. I got the clay oven chicken which was delicious and seemed fairly healthy. The appetizers that we sampled were also excellent. I would definitely go back.

    Fabulous!

Bombay Talkie was excellent. Party of 2 on a Saturday night - seated in under 20 mins with drink in hand. Host and waitress were great. Food was EXCELLENT. The upstairs gets a little loud, but other than that, it was a great time. Food, drinks and service were awesome.

    Expensive Indian & tiny portions

The food is nothing special, and they are tiny portions with prices that are twice as much as they should be. The place is nice if you want somewhere to go, but prepared to either pay $100 for dinner or eating another dinner afterwards as you'll leave hungry. More like a tasting not a restaurant.

    Exellent

The service is great, the Value is somewhat pricy however we are in New York City. The Atmosphere is romantic, The food is esquisite, I have eaten Indian dishes at many places, and I have never been to happy of its strong taste, But when I came to Bombay Talkie I was amazed of how its dishes were friendly enough for customers from other cultures.
