    Terrific Surprise

Great food! We used a groupon coupon to have dinner and were pleasantly surprised by the fresh and wonderful the food. A step up from your run of the mill Indian joint. Loved the Papd Chat appetizer, very flavorful. Crab cakes were also delicious with a hint of Indian spices. Our waiter brought me the wrong entree and they gave us a complimentary appetizer to compensate. Cool stylish atmosphere. A little pricey, but you won't be disappointed

    poor service, great food

the lamb chops were wonderful, and the rest of the food was not bad too. The service was horrible. The floor staff is inattentive and are on their phones all the time. It looks like we were a burden to them, and to top it all of the restaurant was not even busy. Not going back.

    Delicious!

Had (among other things) the superb lamb chops, the cheese bread, the tomato chutney (we got a second order!) and lassi...highly recommend!

    Not worth it

We stopped in to eat and were extremely disappointed with the service, the amount of food (because seriously for $20, I should be getting a meal, not an airplane meal, even first class). The atmosphere was ok, however we were there with a group of australian actors talking about the decline of post-modern america and how it felt on the screen.... And blah blah blah. Super expensive, overly trendy, not that good. Unless you're a big shot movie producer this place is too expensive for a normal person.

    Disappointing

What happened ! This place use to be so good, we have not ordered from there in a while as we moved , But last night came back to the old neighborhood for what use to be the best curry in town. Very disappointing, the food was no were near as good as it use to be. Did they change owners?

    Mediocre Food, Poor Service

The food was not bad...although a little pricey for something that's not excellent. The service however is what will prevent me from coming back. After ordering our food, our waiter disappeared. My boyfriend and I were on the first floor and began dinner in a semi-crowded restaurant. We were waited on by the busboy the whole time, while the waitress was chatting away with the two bartenders in the back. When we were finishing up, it emptied out, except for a large group that was seated upstairs. I guess our waitress thought she will get better tip with them because she spent the whole time up there. The only reason we left a tip was because we hoped that she will share it with the bus boy who was great.

    Rude waiters

The food at Bombay Talkie is not bad, but for the price they charge, the quality and quantity should be much better. But that's not the reason why I'll never go back here. The waiters here are pure tip-hunters. One of them even had the nerve to tell us that we weren't "good customers" because we didn't tip them what they "wanted". Yes, shameless and rude. My question to the owner is - if you're charging so much for the food, why don't you pay your waiters better so they stop harassing the customers?!
