More Spice Please
The atmosphere is great. The staff is very friendly. The food however can be much better. I think they were afraid to add the extra spice that I requested in my Shrimp Curry. Even after I asked for pepper sauce or tabasco sauce or something spicy to add to the food they brought out green bell peppers....like they just picked it out of the graound and put it on a platter! I made the best of what I was served but probably will not be returning!

tasty and fresh
Ordered delivery from here. Fast service, food was hot and delivery person was friendly. The chicken curry was good. Nice meat, big portion. Curry was fresh and spicy-not overwhelming -real depth of flavors. Good rice. Loved the coconut poori. The bujia were a little lackluster. Overall terrific service, food and delivery. Very satisfied.

Amazing Service!
I'm from NC and I often complain about how horrible the customer service is in the food establishments in NY. But I was thoroughly impressed with their great customer service! I ordered during a really bad thunderstorm and I didn't think they'd deliver because of the conditions. But they delivered in less than 30min and my food was salvaged in spite of the drenched delivery guy. My food was GREAT I ordered the Chicken Tikka Massala.

neighborhood gem + awesome customer service
i live around the block from this restaurant and have to say that they have the most consistent, pleasant customer service and delicious food. Try the vegetarian thali for a great deal. mulligatawny soup is outrageous too.

Answer to my prayers
I have found the new love of my life!!! I have been looking for good Indian food that would deliver and Bombay Masala has exceeded my expectations. Not only are they delicious but they are a great value. I will be ordering from them not only again but frequently.

If you're craving Indian food...
This will hit the spot. However, it's not amazing and it's not cheap. I haven't eaten in yet because I live around the corner--I just do takeout--but it seems clean and nicely appointed. Pretty typical Indian restaurant decor. There's a tv in the back which is a little annoying but you can sit away from it, I suppose. I've eaten the standards and they are all pretty good. The banana pakoras are soggy, though and the chicken can be dry.
