    Forgettable restaurant

The appetizers -- vegetable somosa and vegetable pakora -- looked and tasted as if they had been delivered frozen from a factory, and then had been placed in a deep-frier for two minutes by someone in the kitchen. The entree -- the vegetable curry -- tasted as if it had come out of a can, and had been heated in a microwave. Seated near the bar, we had to listen to the phone ring, and hear the manager take down phone orders throughout our entire meal. Prices are fairly low, but not quite low enough for what you get. We will never return.

    Not recommended

This is the very first review, I have ever written in my life. But, I must review this particular restaurant -- that must tell you something. This was the most disappointing indian buffet I have had in my life -- and I have been going to indian lunch buffets for 20 years. Why? Well, their buffet had minimal variety -- 2 veg dishes, 2 non-veg dishes, tandoori chicken, rice, roti, and salad. And, each of these items were cold, barely-passable. NO dessert, no serving of fresh naans to the table, no refilling of dishes. I was scraping the bottoms almost. The two veg dishes were: eggplant-potatoes and mix-veggies .. each of them quite disappointing actually.

    First indian food experience

This was my first indian food experience and it was amazingly delicious! Despite the recent comments below, I experienced a nice wholesome environment and great food. to add- the service is exceptionally great. I never had indian food and was a little timid at first but now I can help but return countless times with my family and friends. I suggest that you all try the mango lassi, coconut poori and kashmiri chicken w a side order of vegetable samosas... delish! A lot of food and quite enjoyable.

    Give it a miss

I am a big fan of Indian food and quite easy to please but was terribly disappointed by this meal. I ordered the chicken biryani and a lamb curry dish. Both were inedible. I would never go back here again and am surprised it is still open for business.

    Poor Quality Indian Food

This is mediocre food. The sauces are diluted with water and the meat quality is severely lacking . I'm guessing it's on par with the quality of meat served in institutions (think high school cafeterias and collegiate dining halls). The only reason this place survives is that there is little to no competition for fast delivery/take-out Indian food in Chelsea. You best bet is actually the Indian hot bar at Whole Foods which is far superior in every way, though that isn't saying much...
