Dollar for dollar, the best in the Slope
I first went to Bogota the first week they opened and, to be honest, the appetizers and drinks were far better than the entrees for the first year or so they were opened. Things have changed for sure. There is such an adventurous spirit in the kitchen, with specials that are constantly trying to push new food combinations, and an overall stellar array of food no matter what you order. Even a dish that is basically a variety of sauteed greens (the Madre Selva) is amazing. Props to George and Farid for taking their game to the next level and being the rare restaurant that gets better with time.

Delicious and Nice
The food is delicious, the prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is celebratory and relaxed, and the people who work there are really nice. For dinner or just a couple of drinks - fantastic!

Bogota is the best restaurant ever
I go here at least once a week -- usually for brunch, but often for drinks or dinner. It's simply the best. Brunch is a better deal ($12 for drink and really delicious breakfast/lunch), but dinner ($13-18) is totally worth it. They have happy hour on weeknights from 5-7 -- $5 mojitos! The atmosphere is fun, the service is friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. Sometimes they have live music, and when it's nice you can sit outside on their back patio.

Unknown Treasure
Bogota is one of those cozy spots where you step into a different world from the rough reality of New York City. It's warm, friendly, and exciting. I've eaten there 5 or more times, and have thoroughly enjoyed every entre, desert, and beverage I've been served. (And I'm a Southern cook, and therefore hard to please as far as taste is concerned!) The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. The owners mingle throughout the restaurant and are available to speak with at any time. They may even serve you!

Funky Place
Had a fun time here last weekend at a friend's 30th birthday party. I too had the chipotle corn crusted salmon which was excellent. My friend ordered the breaded and fried pork chops which were so tasty. I tried chayote for the first time. It is a crunchy latin squash that they grilled, interesting. For drinks, I had brazilian sangria which was strong. Check it out. And service was relaxed and friendly. I will go back. If only there was one in manhattan.

Mixed
Went there this past weekend and more or less unimpressed. Ordered the special ceviche (tilapia) which we had to send back to the kitchen because it had no taste whatsoever and just tasted plain. They had a hard time accepting it which is a sign of bad service. The cornmeal encrusted salmon was phenomenal though. However, the sides it came with - cilantro mashed potatoes and kale were not great. A friend ordered the everything plate - steak with arepas and other things and he did not really like it. Everything was brown. not very appealing.

Very Friendly Staff, Good Energy
Bogota Latin Bistro offers fresh food and good, friendly service in a fun atmosphere. I especially enjoyed Bogota's creative, colorful, crunchy salads, while my friends praised the seafood dishes and festive drinks.
