    Not Authentic Colombian but decent

The place can be a little noisy for no reason. The service is good at times. We've had many flaky waiters. The food is good, if you don't mind getting the wrong meal once or twice it is worth the wait. The menu is a little haphazard and so is the music. There is no need for Britney Spears at a Colombian restaurant. Overall an ok hangout but if you want authentic Colombian, go to Jackson Heights, Queens!

Good food, not so good service.

Went to Bogota and it was an experience. Our waiter, wasn't very friendly; didn't tell us anything about the menu wasn't very nice when we were ordering. My cousin's boyfriend ordered a soda, my cousin and I got our sangria's before he got his soda. He had to ask for it; it only took a few seconds for the server to get it; so then why did he have to wait over 1o minutes before he finally to ask where it was. We ordered an appetizer, never came. We waited over 20 minutes for our food; they brought 2 plates of yellow rice before our meals came. It was so weird, two small plates of rice and no main entrees. Then our food came and we told our server to forget the appetizer and he said he would give us a free dessert for the mix-up. The food was great. We ordered a chocolate cake slice, took another 10-15 minutes to get it. It was cold when we got it, so it was obviously in the refrigerator; so then why did it take so long to cut a slice and put some readi-whip on it. Then we got the bill, I rarely check to make sure it's our bill but this time I did and it was not ours. My brother takes the bill to one of the workers and we waited some more for our waiter to bring us our bill; he doesn't even apologize for the mix-up. We did not leave the tip that they already added onto our bill; we were not a party of 6 ppl to have the tip automatically added to the bill and I'm sorry but our waiter did not deserve the amount listed. We did leave a tip but it was based on our service not on what they thought we should have given.

    take it from a native

The staff was great, the food not so much. I am Colombian and dragged about 8 of my Colombian friends down here with hopes of finding a taste of home. The food was decent, but not Colombian, not even kind-of-sort-of. It was very bland, I guess it's true, if you want real Colombian food you have to go all the way to Queens. However, I do have a few American friends who have tried it and they think it's great. Definitely go and give it a try.

    sangritas and platanos rellenos

The food is so good here, and it's perfect to sit at the bar for drinks and appetizers. They're open late on weeknights (most slope places are not) and the service is excellent. Try the margarita/sangria combo, it is excellent. But beware the Sangira, it's on the sweet side (probably delicious, if that's your thing). And please, please order the sweet plantains stuffed with meat. you will not regret!!

    Go there all the time.

Bogota is Latin food on a higher level. So sick and tired of over salted so called criollo. I love how although it is a colombian restaurant it does combine caribbean flavors as well, drinks are off the hook here. Can be a little pricey, service can be questionable at times, food sometimes take too long. For the skeptics, try a drink and appertizer

    Flavor where are u?

I'm puerto rican, from parkslope...and was so excited to see a spanish style restaurant open in my neighborhood. Me and my friend went to Bogota... with hopes of the best food.,.based on the reviews. We ordered as much as we possibly could, to taste as much as we could. started with Sancocho soup... bland... where was the flavoring? couldn't believe it! ! it was suppose to be sancocho which is normally delicious! Empanada Sampler meat had no flavor.. then ordered Skirt Steak Chimichurri & Chuletas Empanisadas same conclusion.. even the black beans were poorly seasoned.. so sad... we left with all of our plates more than half full of tasteless food..needed some sazon or garlic or something! lol... can someone one from one of the islands please move to Park Slope and open a real Latin restaurant!

    Great!

Great food. Great service. Margaritas and mojitos are perfect! Empanadas and catfish are fabulous. Will keep going.
