Bocca di Bacco

I came in with a business partner after a meeting. Place is really nice, servers are friendly. I order the steak which was quite good,. HOWEVER, they served it on a flat wood carving board. A good steak is juicy and a flat plate cant hold the juices. Thus, the juices ended up on my buddy's sport coat as they tried to put the steak on the table. This isnt rocket science guys. If you have a sauce, get a plate!

And then does not care when you point this out to them. This place is mostly looks. They did a great job on designing it, and they have a nice wine selection. But that's about it. The most important part is lacking and that's the food. And second to that the service is poor too. And that's for a restaurant of any caliber... So for the place Bocca di Bacco is trying to be, it's exceptionally poor. Don't be fooled by the modern rustic chic interior. While nice for a glass or bottle of wine, I wouldn't eat the food here again.

I'm not sure what the previous reviewers were talking about. Well, I had an unpleasant experience. First, the waiter never brought olives for our martinis, even though he asked us if we wanted some when he plopped the two olive-less martinis on the table. Then, he never told us the specials of the day, which we would have rather ordered. We didn't even know there were specials until we heard a different waiter announce them to the table next to us and we had already gotten our food. When our food came out, it did not look appetizing at all. The pasta was plated without garnish or care as was the fish. Both were sloppy and clearly given no thought. Basically, it was a fish and pasta dish drowned with sauce - beyond recognition. Next, when we ordered desert, it came out with the wrong fruit. The custard was supposed to come with strawberries instead of blueberries. The only reason we ordered it was for the strawberries! When we asked the server why it came with blueberries, he said that he would ask the manager why. I saw him talk to her but it seemed like she completely dismissed the issue. The waiter never came back to us to explain why the dessert came out wrong. Instead, he cleared the dessert plate and I asked for the check. When he brought it, he STILL didn't explain why the dessert came out wrong. So, I had to ask him again about the dessert to which he replied "The menu was wrong and we are out of strawberries." I can understand that but then when I looked at the check, the dessert was still on the bill. What did the manager say when the server asked her about the mistake with the dessert? I imagine "tough luck" because there was no resolution to the problem. Regardless of all this, I tipped the server 20% and left with a smile. I hope they get their act together. My girlfriend and I left very disappointed. Sad. Highly not recommended.

Magnifica...feels like you're in a restaurant in Italy. The food is wonderful and the price is great. I have been twice and can't wait to go back again. They have a very extensive wine list. You must go here.

We've been to this place 3 times since it's opened, and have been very happy every time. Their wine bar is great, with good value wines and pricey ones. Their cheese and cured meat platters are great, and are enough for dinner for two. The only drawback is that it can get REALLY crowded on Friday or Saturday nights and sometimes they don't seat you for a while after your reservation time. I would actually recommend it as a place to go for a glass of wine and some snacks more than a dinner place. The overall atmosphere is great, too. Wood ceilings, great lighting.
