    Actually quite good

My husband and I ate here a few weeks ago and were pleasantly surprised considering the other reviews. The prosciutto appetizer was delicious and the wild mushroom risotto was excellent. Our server was fantastic. I am heading back there tonight. Hope I have a similar experience.

Switched Buffalo Mozzerella appetizer for regular mozerrella

I ordered a $14 appetizer of Buffalo mozzerella and got plain, cardboard-like pieces plain mozzerella. When I told the waiter that what he served me was NOT Buffalo mozzerella he checked with the kitchen and said it was an "accident." They didn't charge me for it thankfully, but no Manhattan-based Italian restaurant worth its reputation would EVER confused Buffalo over typical Mozzerella.

    Please stay away!

First, the waiters weren't nice at all. Second the food wasn't that good either and they added the items in the bill twice and also added an extra item. I wind up paying like $30 extra for the food I never ordered!! Will never go back to that place again.

Just don't go, don't even think about it

I ate here last Wednesday, and I'll be honest the food wasn't bad (but not good either). However the service was another story. They should just fire the whole lot and start anew. The hostess couldn't even be bothered with us she was too busy texting. The servers were goofing around swearing a lot (in italian) and throwing garbage from various distances in our direction (the trash was behind us). Our waiter seemed really disinterested and obviously wasn't paying any attention since he overcharged us. Just stay away there are better wine bars and better Italian restaurants nearby.

    Extremely disappointing

Wife and I have been wanting to try this place for a while. Finally last night we walked in and asked to see a menu, Host told us best Italian food he's ever tasted so we went for it! The atmosphere is great, the service is good but the food left a lot to be desired. It wasn't unappetizing, but I don't think this host gets out much! The items on the menu sound amazing but when they come to your table they are just blah! I think the ingredients are great but their dishes are bland. I've definitely had better. Definitely not worth the money! Again great place for some wine and MAYBE an app but wouldn't waste my money on dinner. I don't mind spending money on good food but this place definitely does not deliver!! Oh well u live and u learn!

Yes, folks. I've lived in this neighborhood for over 10 years, and have seen many restaurants come and go. I really hope this doesn't take up valuable Manhattan realty space for much longer. The attitude the staff has is akin to airport security, an MTA employee, or an exclusive waiting-list restaurant. Only thing is: this is Hell's Kitchen!! The hostess said we'd have to wait 20-25min for a table for 7. We waited over an hour. She said she'd call us when the table was ready, and she did. We left the bar across the street, because their bar was too full for 7, and when we returned, she said we needed to wait until the table was ready. The people weren't even done yet. We waited, and waited almost an hour and half. Bad hostess skills. But at least she was cute. The waiter said hello, and was really cute as well. That's about as much as they had going for them. The waiter said good bye to each person of a party of 12, standing at the foot of our table, as we were patiently and eagerly waiting to hear the specials he started to mention but failed to capture everyone's attention because we were just too hungry and irritated already by the obvious lack of service. The waiter took our drink order. 20-minutes, drinks arrive. We don't see the waiter for another 20 minutes, and finally he realizes that we've been waiting such a long time that he kindly takes our order. He seemed nervous taking our order, and I gave him a reason to be nervous. I kindly asked that our wine glasses be removed from the table, as no one ordered wine, and we all had ordered cocktails. Since I didn't know if we'd be seeing the waiter again, after placing the food order I kindly asked for the check too. In between waiting 20minutes for drinks and another 27min for the food, I realized that our original waiter (who I can't remember his name) never once came back to check and see if everything with the food was okay. Not one person came to say hello, or apologize for our wait.
