    I love this place!

Six years ago I met some friends here and we had so much fun. The drinks were fantastic and the food was great. It took a really long time for me to get back here (I don't live in the city) but I went back a few weeks ago and it was just as much fun and had the fantastic food and drinks I remembered. Two margaritas did me just fine. The plantain chips with black bean dip they serve is a great way to start, and then we had one of the specials (soft shell crabs, which were fantastic) and the vegetarian combo, which was great. I highly reccommend this place, for its food and for its atmosphere. The service was really good as well.

    Best drinks ever!

And the foods great too! and cheap! 2-3 drinks is all a girl needs from this place (and i'm no light weight). try the chipotle shrimp. a little spicy, but soooo good. especially when washed down with a mojito. eclectic decor and fun atmosphere make this a great place for girls night out. its small though, only 40 seats or so...so expect a wait during prime dinner times and on weekends.

The best thing you will ever have!!

Everyone must try this place. I dream about it while I am not in the city. Everyone is so nice, and the owner is always around to smile. You will want to go back for more all the time, I wish that I didn't live in California. Everything I have had, I love! it is honestly my #1 favorite place of all time!

    I love it

I used to live down the street from this restaurant, and It was my favorite in the neighborhood, out of many. The Margaritas will have you talking to everyone in the restaurant. My only problem is they open too late!

Great dinner at a great price

I stumbled upon this restuarant as my friend and I were searching for a Peruvian restaurant. We were drawn by its playful Caribbean feel and were truly impressed by the service and food. Boca Chica has great food at a great value. I am planning to go to this hidden treasure again this Sunday.

    Delicious dinner

I stumbled on BC on the way to a gig at the Mercury Lounge, the dinner service was great, a good selection of appetisers and mains, I enjoyed the shrimp tikul and then the ropa vieja. It was early evening , the place was about half full, but the staff were friendly and attentive, they also mix up an excellent mojito. I will go again when I am in the area next.

    Decent

If there's one category of food that NYC is lacking in, and this is probably the only one, it's got to be Latin/South American cuisine. However Boca Chica has a nice choice of appetizers, chicken, beef, and seafood dishes. In addition, their sangria ain't too shabby. The restaurant is one of those where what you pay for is exactly what you will get. The portions are not overly generous, yet by no means are they skimpy and the service is pretty good most of the time. If you are a garlic lover then the fried yuca with garlic mojo is a must, and they also serve a decent Cuban Sandwich. Overall, this is among the better Latin restaurants in the city. Give it a shot...
