They deliver when they feel like it

Food is great. but you better never crave it because they deliver when they feel like it. called before no problem, called last night was put on hold, then hung up on. called back and they said " Sorry we are not delivering tonight" Should of just said that the first time. very disappointed in the way it was handled.

    yum

We drove from upstate to see a film and have a quick bite. The restaurant was a little loud, but it was a young crowd; nobody else seemed to mind. The food was fantastic. The Shrimp Ceviche was out of this world. I had the chicken special which was excellent. My husband had pork chops that were very tender. The bartender was not stingy; we had pretty stiff Margaritas that were really good.

    Disappointing

This restaurant was an old favorite when I lived in the Neighborhood 5 years ago.I was shocked at how the prices here have shot up whilst the quality plumetted. I ordered the formerly fantastic Moqueca de Peixe. What appeared was essentially a plate of almost raw onions in a watery sauce. On closer inspection there was a solitary shrimp and miniscule piece of fish cowering beneath another uncooked piece of green pepper.

Best Latin Food in the universe!

Every visit to NYC is not complete without satisfying the Boca Chica Fix! From the moment one steps into the environment ( energy!) the senses are fulfilled! Yes, there are many unique items on the menu, but I just cannot break away from the Moqueca (makes me salivate writing this). Though the Pastille and the specials are always delicious. I love the chocolate covered pears during season - and the mojitos! HIghly recommend - great value for every penny spent. There is something to be said about "pride" - I definitely feel this when I step in the doors of Boca Chica!

    Excellent-we all loved it!

I was in a party of 4 and we all loved it! We were just walk-ins so we did have to wait about 25 minutes but it was also sat night. The food was delicious, our waiter was great (and I had no idea what to get-he had to come back for my order!), and about it being expensive...though we weren't drinking, with apps it was only 25 a person. It's really hard to beat that! I've already recommended it to friends, and being as picky of an eater as I am, after trying and liking every dish we ordered you can't go wrong. Definitely try it!!

    One of my favorite restaurants...

about the negative comments, i was surprised but that doesn't stop me from coming...the food can't get any better than what it is...the pernil con yuca wow...so juicy and tender YUMMY, it just melts in your mouth...and the margaritas...the choices of flavors too WOW...tasty and you'll definitely feel the buzz...you can't go wrong...as far as getting a table, it's a tiny place.

    Pretty good, but expensive!

I had the Havanera, and it was absolutely superb. The green sauce was really tasty and worked well with the chicken. The beans were pretty good too. I also had the guava margarita, which tasted nothing like guava. Pretty pricey: $9. Could get better margaritas elsewhere. One of my friends got a pisco sour and boy was that nasty. It was so salty, and it wasn't even sour! Worst drink ever and that was $10, what a waste! Another one got some weird name drink, one with double B in its name. That was way too strong! Never ever get that! Overall, food was good, but just expensive. We had a table of 14 and the waiters were actually able to accommodate us. We actually were able to sit with each other, and they were really cool, even though we stayed there for quite some time, trying to figure out how much we each had to pay...Also one of my friends got a free drink cause they messed up on his order, which was pretty nice of them.
