Well worth the wait in line!
Unless you frequent the Chelsea area, you wouldn't see this little gem hiden on 25 st. The coffee is amazing. Their Morning Glory muffin is my favorite!! The croissants (which are homemade) are the best I've had since I came back from Europe! I have yet to try something that I didn't love! Try their homemade salads!! Unlike any place in the city -- guaranteed!!

Greedy
great coffee- but GREEDY! very pricey food and coffee just got more expensive. i've come in here regularly on the way to work for 2 1/2 years. i always order the same thing: a medium coffee with a splash of soymilk in my own cup for $2.05, every day. they won't give a discount for bringing your own cup which has to save them around $.30 for the cup and lid - and is better for the environment. today, they tried to charge me $2.81. when i told the guy, who was new (the staff is always turning over) that i've been charged $2.05 every day for 2 1/2 years, he said- well they've been charging you wrong. you need to pay extra for the soy. $.76 extra for a splash of soy? really- even starbucks isn't that greedy. he wasn't going to back down off this price. i said i don't want the coffee and i will stop coming here. he's said that's fine....next. i don't know about you, but when i spend my hard-earned money in the same place almost every day, a little customer appreciation or at least slight manners would be nice.

Good food- Unpleasant Service
This place is an absolute ZOO! They are extremely un-organized and plain rude. They have yet to implement an efficient ordering system. It's super tiny and there's no place to stand while you're waiting, it's SO awkward. It's too bad really because the food is very good and reasonably priced. Not worth the anxiety!

Finally - a unique place for lunch!
This place is not your typical coffee shop. Their sandwiches are unique and their daily specials are things you would not find elsewhere! (baked chicken croquette salad, anyone?) The Mediterranean Salad is amazing and filling - and the best hummus I've ever had. While it's not cheap, I was able to take some home for dinner. The seating is tight and the line moves quickly, giving me a mini heart-attack while I choose what to order, but in the end it's all worth it!

Far from a waste of money.
The food is delicious! The tuna melt and zuchinni muffin are my favorites so far. Compared to the delis on Sixth, this place is gourmet heaven. Nothing but satisfaction.

Yum.
The line speaks for itself. It's been my favorite lunch for 4 years, before the lines were out the vestibule and when only 1 person at the counter was enough. Oddly enough, as their popularity grows, so does the quality of their ingredients, combinations, and service. Rare, indeed. No one waits that long for a salad or sandwich unless it's 100% worth it. And it is. Oh it is.

Tastes the same, Feels different
Maybe this is a ridiculous complaint, but somehow, my lunch from Blue Dog feels cheaper and not as enjoyable since they've swapped the classy packaging for standard deli clam shells. Makes the payoff for waiting in that long line during the lunch hour a bit... lackluster..
