We made Sunday brunch reservations for downstairs. While the scene was nice, food and service good, there was a jazz band playing. While they were quite good, they were way too loud, drums, guitars etc. Sitting at a round table with friends, we couldn't talk to anyone else at the table except our immediate neighbors. And even then it was difficult (and I'm not old, either)! we asked the woman seating everyone twice if she could lower the volume just a bit (they had amps), and she said she'd try (I guess she didn't try too hard). Finally they took a break, but I wish it was longer....no need for that kind of nonsense when you're trying to talk to friends, not scream over an amp.... Bottom Line: would go back but would not sit downstairs for Sunday brunch.

After a night of relentless unpleasantness at Blue Water Grill, I am writing my very first restaurant review. If you have any degree of sophistication when it comes to dining, stay away from this place. I requested twice to not be seated near the bussing station and that's where I sat. The air conditioning right above me blasted freezing air. The chef must have accidently emptied the salt shaker on my entree. It was inedible and returned. The lobster bisque did not taste like lobster and was also over salted. My husband's entree was mediocre. The night was so obviously unpleasant, the waiter took it on his own to get the check reduced. He was the only saving grace. Once a very favorite restuarant, this tourist trap is no place for a person with any modicum of taste.

My wife and I had a delightful evening with friends. We love seafood, and the menu had a wonderful variety of specialties from which to chose. The wine list was similarly varied, and the sommelier was extremely helpful, as was the whole staff. All in all a five star experience.

went here after hearing many people rave about it and decided to try it out. the food wasn't horrible but it was definitely not worth the money. there also seemed to be some sort of food encrusted on my dish, the container for the cream and my water glass was unclean. the container for cream seemed to be lined with tomato sauce, i really don't know how that was overlooked. sent it back. they came back with slightly less tomato sauce on it. in addition we happened to have poor seats where the floor seemed to be uneven. other than that, great location!

Free drinks included with brunch?! Amazing! I order a coffee and a mimosa, and my boyfriend ordered a bloody mary they all came complimentary with the meal! I didn't think we could get such an amazing deal on a NYC brunch. The Egg's Benedict and Huevos Rancheros were delicious. But make sure that you have reservations... we walked past a lot of people who were waiting in line for service...

A friend of ours took us to Blue Water Grill our first night in NYC. WOW!! The service, ambiance & food was to die for! We found it quite reasonably priced for NY as well. 3 people soup to digestif 365$ tax/tip included. This place is great!

Last Saturday night went with a friend. Kept waiting for 2-person table for 45 minutes downstairs. The noise was unbearable- had to put in ear plugs in order to hear my friend and filter out the band and outrageous decible level!
