excellent food and great service.
I went with my boyfriend for the restaurant week dinner,and we really enjoyed everything about the Blue water grill.Food was superb,we had one of the best wine we 've ever tasted,thanks to the server who recommend it.Atmosphere was wery nice ,we had dinner in the Jazz room,and nice music was an excellent touch to uor wonderfull meal.Definitely go back there,the food,especially the main course was great.

slipped over the years
this place used to be solid, but no more. Service was lousy. Had empty water glass the entire meal. Rushed at first. Sat downstairs, right on top of the next table and got bumped about 25 times. The food was good, but with so many other choices out there, that was my last visit to BWG.

Excellent food, but...
The Blue Water Grill has always had fantastic food. The seafood is about as good as it gets in the city. Their lobster mashed potatoes are pure heaven as is just about everything on the menu. The place is big and beautiful and it's even a pleasure to sit outside. The downstairs potion of the restaurant is a little like sitting at the kids table, but it's still nicer than most restaurants. But if you've heard about the poor service here, you've heard some half truths. It's not that they ignore you or are sloppy, they just have a snobbish air about themselves which is grating. Depending on your servers mood, that snobbishness can fluctuate from tolerably quirky to downright nasty. Still, it's worth it to me. Go in with a calm, clear head and have a nice meal. Recommended.

Very poor service
Food is good, but the service is VERY poor. Rude waiter who seemed to not only not know what he was doing, but didn't care. For the price you pay and the level of restaurant they claim to be, the service shoudl be much better.

Gluten Free Dinner with an Amazing Price
Beautiful restaurant with quiet live jazz playing. My server was able to make sure that I got a gluten free / wheat free meal. All my dishes even came with a sticker marked 'allergy' to make sure I didn't have my usual panic of having my boyfriend check to see if he thinks it has gluten in it. The food was so delicious. And it was so moderately priced considering how amazing the meal was. I am absolutely so happy with the restaurant. You should definitely go, especially if you worry about allergies because they are very attentive and concerned with making sure your meal is delicious and safe for you to eat.
