Blue Water Grill

I've been to blue water grill four times in the past year and feel that it is one of the most consistently overrated restaurants in the city. The food, while not bad, is totally uninspired. It's rather ordinary, and the brunch is downright bland. A tastier choice and much better value would be the Mermaid Inn. The saving grace of the restaurant is the cool ambience and decor.

I've been to Blue Water a few times and I love it! My last two visits I was somewhat disappointed with the service (the waiter kept forgetting something) but the food makes up for it. Personally, I feel that the Spring/Summer menu is a lot better than the Fall/Winter menu. The sushi is very fresh and their lobster bisque is amazing. My advice is to finish the night with dessert and Inniskillian Ice Wine, it's pricey, but worth every $21/glass or $100/btl.

We sat in the Jazz Room. At first I was skeptical, but the room was romantically lit, and the jazz band was great. I can't say enough about the food. The crabcakes were probably the best I have ever had, and the salmon was delicious. The service for the most part was pretty attentive, and we weren't rushed. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, whether you are going on a date or going out with friends. All around I give this restaurant an A++.

Went here for Restaurant Week and everything was wonderful. The decor is really nice--candles everywhere, and we got to sit in the Jazz Room (live Jazz music all night) so that was very pleasant. The service was good, and the food was just incredible. Some of the best fish I've ever had. They also have an extensive wine list to choose from. Definitely a place I'd come back to.

I was super surprised when my high expectations for this restaurant were met! The service was great, attentive but not too overwhelming. The food was absolutely delicious, inventive but not overly strange. The atmosphere was fancy but not too stuffy. So I'd recommend this to anyone who's looking for a great night out of town!

I've been to Blue Water Grill several times and have always had a great time. Thier crab cakes are the best and the lobster mash potatoes are mouth watering. If you go, try and make reservations for the Jazz room. It's hard to hold an intimate conversation, but the music definitely sets the mood!

Blue Water is excellent all around. The sea bass is particularly good. Friendly and prompt service as well. Sit upstairs for an even better atmosphere. I go regularly and anyone not impressed must give it a second go.
