Great place
Was just there March 31, 2006 and really enjoyed it. My wife commented on the decor that it looked too much like The Cheesecake Factory. But labelling the Blue Water Grill like that is a bit unfair. The food was very good and the service was great. The sommelier was very friendly and we had a very good debate about the wines on the list. I would really recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a nice place to have dinner with someone you care about. Don't bring your first date here, they may not be worthy.

Loved it!
I went here with a gift certificate, but I was hesitant because I tried a similar place and did not like it at all, but Blue Water did not disappoint! The waitress was really nice and friendly, and the food was amazing. I got the surf and turf and my boyfriend got the filet mignon, and both were perfect. For dessert I had creme brulee with gingersnaps and berries and he had the chocolate fondue that was served with fruit, tons of chocolate and 3 varieties of marshmallows. I was surpised how big the portions were since most nice places give nothing. We sat in the Jazz room, and it was dark red lit by candlelight which was perfect. It was noisy, but our table wasn't too close to the other tables which I liked. The music was soft piano that did not overpower anything. The whole experience was extremely good and I can't wait to go back.

Best Restaurant in NYC
This place is wonderful. I've been there for dinner and brunch; neither have dissappointed. The waitstaff is extremely attentive and friendly, yet not overbearing. I can't think of a place where I've had better seafood. The cocktails are good, and as soon as noon hits on Sunday, the champagne (that's complimentary at Brunch!) starts flowing. Definitely make a reservation for the jazz room downstairs. It's got a sexy red glow and live music. Blue Water Grill is my personal favorite restaurant in New York.

Fantastic Fish
My husband and I both had one of the specials for the night of our visit on 2-22-06. It was the mahi fish with crab and lobster sauce. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service we had was wonderful and the atmosphere great. We were seated in the main hall near a window and enjoyed the view. Yes, the restaurant is expensive but well worth it.

Restaurant
I went here during restaurant week and had a solid meal. I know you don't get the best they have to offer but I was quite pleased. The best aspect of this restaurant is the service.

Deelicious
It was sooo delicious. I ordered the sword fish and crab sweet potatoes. Soo yummy. My boyfriend ordered the lobster which was good but not very filling. The rolls are excellent and the warm lobster salad was perfect! Very fun night out. We spent around $150 including tip and ordred 3 appetizers , 1/2 bottle of wine, and 2 main dishes. Definitely try it out!
