Top Notch
One of our FAVORITES in the city. Go here if you're looking for a "special night out." It's pricy, but their food all around is Fabulous (and worth it), especially the sushi!! Extensive wine list and VERY friendly staff. A choice in atmosphere that appeals to all... jazz room, vip lounge, outside dining. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Always Good
This place is a regular stop for us everytime we're in town. We love the atmosphere and the menu. Great for brunch. Price is alittle expensive. Service good.

Excellent Date Place, Amazing Swordfish
The blackened swordfish with sweet potato crab hash is absolutely amazing. Been here twice on dates, loved it both times. Good raw oysters for an app, and for brunch the lobster eggs benedict are excellent. Moderately priced as far as NYC dining goes.

Typical Scene to be Seen
I was with a group of 15 for brunch (so too many items to describe separately). The prices are excessive (But I wasn't paying) and the food in general was OK., altho service was world class in overcrowded, noisy, ICE COLD (AC was going full blast on a day with gusts up to 40 mph and temps in the 40s) balcony seating. I had lobster tempura roll which was disappointing; I asked how many pieces and was told it could be 4 to 6 so it was not size of serving but preparation. I thought a tempura roll could be fried in its entirety--but here only the tiny lobster pieces were fried in tempura. I couldn't taste the lobster, the tempura or the other ingredients. There was crab meat omelette--large size, OK. Eggs benedict on crab cake --OK. Lobster salad OK. Egg whites omelette-- very good. Smoked salmon--OK. Hamburger--very good. All of the omelettes were large. The home fries were good. However, at these prices they should have been far better--how are they $10 better than your average diner? Sorbet and chocolate fondue were good. Bread basket was best of all. I'd never go on my own and no one else should, even on expense account. What was so good about the food? If not the food, then, it must that diners went to be seen...

One of our lobsters was not good
I ordered 2 lobsters, the service was good a little bit of forced niceness though. One of the lobsters was not good, both claws were mushy and salty. For the price this is unacceptable. Other than that I liked it.

A good birthday meal
Last night we went there for my finicky mother's birthday celebration and it was truly as perfect as i could have hoped for. we were seated at a nice quiet spot near the balcony. our waiter was quite the professional in his timing. the food was scrumptious. the ambience was warm and inspired cheer in 3 very tired hungry people. this was a good experience.
