I enjoyed the food: creamed spinach didn't feel too heavy, chipotle wings were not too spicy ribs marinated just right. The only complaint I have is the wait staff. Not all of my friends chose to order drinks. The waiters (main waiter and his protege) looked at each other and made a face. It made us uncomfortable. They continued to do the same when we decided to share sides and dessert. There's no reason any waiter should ever make their customers feel awkward for the amount we order or our preferences in how we choose to share. That is exactly how we felt all night.

We have been trying many different BBQ places in the city. This was the one I was most excited about and was utterly disappointed! Every beer I ordered, they were out of. They gave us a bone bucket (we didn't order anything with bones.) The food was warm at best and bland. I had the pulled pork that was very fatty. He had the brisket that looked and tasted boiled. BBQ sauces lest a lot to be desired. Service was slow and forgetful. The ambiance was good. Not too long of a wait for a walk in. But nothing would bring me back.

Texas dry rub ribs are amazing! Must try! Blue Smoke lager is also really good. Service is friendly, once you get a seat. Worth the wait for sure.

we walked in so we had to wait about 30 min. at the bar so we had a few drinks. Blue smoke lager was really nice. We were seated upstaris which was nice. Sevice was good. Had the wings special which were great. Had the burger which was also decent, collard greens which were good, baked beans which were undercooked and bland and pulled pork. I was not very impressed with the food at all. Aside from decent wings and burger that were overpriced, the pulled pork lacked moisture and was overcooked, the bbq sauce choice isnt good and the food was cold. There are much better options for much better BBQ all over the area. Not worth the $ at all.

I think this is one of the best rib places in NYC. I was at Blue Smoke with a few colleagues and we had a great time. I would skip the startes and go straight tot the ribs and sides. I liked the variety in the sampler and the mac & cheese was great. Sweet potato fries are also a great choice. I would recommend and go back.

Do not believe what you read. The ribs here are awesome. I suggest the ribs sampler (for one or two depending on who you go with). The beef ribs were my favorite. The mac & cheese and corn bread are also great. Try to get here around 6 and you will have a nice peaceful dinner. Any time after that and the place gets pretty crowded.
