Blue Smoke has good food that is to expensive and the service is horribly slow. There is no such thing as a quick lunch here. The food takes a good 30 minutes to arrive at your table and that was when the place was empty so who knows how long it will take if they are busy.

The wait is fairly long on a friday night. The ribs were tasty and the pulled pork was good. The mac and cheese is very dense (not watery) but is better than average. Certainly not the best mac and cheese. For the money and the food I would not recommend Blue Smoke.

I am rarely impressed to the level that I was last night at Blue Smoke. We decided to avoid the short wait and sit at the bar, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our bartender/server was very attentive and noticed when my order was missing something I had asked for even without me haveing to mention it, which he immediately retrieved for me. My food-the pulled pork platter was amazing. cauliflower-amazing. beans-ok. my friends burger-amazing. mashed potatos-great! we were so happy with ourselves for deciding to eat there finally and would have been satisfied enough but decided to order dessert. the sticky toffee pudding was absolutely incredible...we almost cried. All around it was the BEST choice for a fun winters night and we will definitely be back soon!

We had a 945 pm reservation but didnt get seated till 10 30 pm .The service was fair at best in fact the waitress forgot to place one of the orders. The food was very ordinary not even as good as any of the inexpensive chain restaurants .

I am from the south so maybe I am partial to good BBQ but this is not it. While the warm chips with Blue Cheese sauce is really good, the ribs are the most disappointing I have ever had and the sauce tastes like a sauce you would be at the grocery store. I am not sure anything really gets smoked here and maybe that is the problem with NYC BBQ. No one has an outdoor smoker that can smoke the meat for 12+ hours so that it falls off the bones. if you need BBQ, come somewhere else where you don't have to wait forever for a table to then be disappointed in mediocre BBQ.

I enjoyed the food: creamed spinach didn't feel too heavy, chipotle wings were not too spicy ribs marinated just right. The only complaint I have is the wait staff. Not all of my friends chose to order drinks. The waiters (main waiter and his protege) looked at each other and made a face. It made us uncomfortable. They continued to do the same when we decided to share sides and dessert. There's no reason any waiter should ever make their customers feel awkward for the amount we order or our preferences in how we choose to share. That is exactly how we felt all night.

We have been trying many different BBQ places in the city. This was the one I was most excited about and was utterly disappointed! Every beer I ordered, they were out of. They gave us a bone bucket (we didn't order anything with bones.) The food was warm at best and bland. I had the pulled pork that was very fatty. He had the brisket that looked and tasted boiled. BBQ sauces lest a lot to be desired. Service was slow and forgetful. The ambiance was good. Not too long of a wait for a walk in. But nothing would bring me back.
