A bit more upscale than I believe BBQ should be, but the food is excellent and the waitstaff is friendly and knowledgeable. Try to the Love for Sale, a great lil cocktail with citron and passion fruit to start, but make sure to switch to their own Blue Smoke local brew with dinner. The sauces are spot on and I can't remember when I've had creamier mashed potatoes-- so light-- or mac n cheese! Definitely worth the trip.

Okay, so barbecue ribs is one of my favorite things, but you gotta love a place where you can get a sampler platter of all kinds of them. Of course I shared it with my spouse because it's plenty, specially when you also get the delicious macaroni & cheese, an order of deviled eggs (just because you can) and of course the fried bread which was describes as a salty elephant ears, but really it was better. It was fluffy and airy and came hot with spicy butter. Don't forget a pint of Brooklyn beer to wash it all down. Wow! I'm getting indigestion just thinking about it. Enjoy!

We are from Glasgow Scotland and were recommended Blue Smoke. Great atmosphere, well trained staff and very knowledgeable about all produce, wines etc. Food really tasty. Our kids thought it was the best place ever! Will be back..but not soon!

As good as anything in Texas or Kansas City or any of the traditional BBQ places. No duds on this menu. I use their sauce at home, too. Yummy! There's also the classiest jazz music playing in the background and a delightfully bright atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I went to Blue Smoke and we enjoyed it a lot. I suggest the chipotle wings as an appetizer. My boyfriend ordered the rib sampler, out of the three choices, my favorite was the Kansas City Style Ribs (nice and saucy). The sampler comes with about 8 or 9 ribs...big enough for two people to share. As a side we ordered the spicy cheese fries...those were great also. We shared an ice cream sundae, the ice cream they use is pretty good. Service was good. The atmosphere is wonderful, they had some jazz music playing. We plan on going back during the night time so that we can go see a jazz performance downstairs at the Jazz Standard.

I ate at the restaurant last night with a group of friends, and while I enjoyed the flavor of the food, most of it arrived at the table lukewarm. That's my only complaint. Otherwise, everything was very good.

Coming from New Orleans I have an affinity for Abita Beer. They have a decent selection that go perfectly with their amazing baby back ribs!
