Good BBQ
I am a huge BBQ fan and amateur smoker at home on my free time so I know a thing or two about BBQ. This place is good. I have been to the Flatiron location a couple of times, and this is equally as good. I love Hush Puppies, and for some reason they have them at the Flatiron location but not here which really doesnt make any sense to me. Go with the sampler to get a true taste of everything. The beef ribs are really good. Worth the try, especially as we are limited with options down here.

Poor Delivery Policy
They will not deliver to the east side of the west side hway. So if you live two blocks from the restaurant and live on the other side they wont deliver. Really Stupid.

Extremely disapponting
I am a big fan of Blue Smoke on 27th Street, and have been there many times over the years including recently. So I was quite excited to try the new Blue Smoke in Battery Park given its proximity to my apartment. Let's just say that the food was sub-par not only for the Blue Smoke brand, but not even worthy of mediocre NYC barbecue. I tried both the Memphis baby back ribs and the Texas beef ribs. Both were not only dry, but both lacked any discernible flavor. I have had both of these types of ribs many times at the original Blue Smoke location, and even though quality varied somewhat, they were never this bad. I should have said something to the server/host -- my bad. Suffice to say I will not return to this location again. Perhaps it was just an off night or a bad batch, but it was just incredibly disappointing.

Kids should not be sitting at bar
I am so irritated with parents...this place is great. Food stellar, service wonderful (so helpful and friendly) and menu creative. Now only if people would not occupy the bar area with their kids, that would be great. I have a seven year old who knows she does not sit at the bar for one, its against the law, two-I have manners and would not take over seats meant for adults. Three times I walked out with a group of friends because kids were at the bar... I hope management puts an end to this immediately so that my girlfriends and I can enjoy cocktails and oysters at the bar.
